I was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma October 2010. Since then, I've been through four rounds of chemo and had surgery on Feb 2011. After the drain was removed a couple weeks after surgery, the wound opened back up caused by tunneling of fluid. That was March 2011. It is now 7 months and the wound has still not healed! My husband changes the packing strips three times a day and it is very painful for me. The doctors don't seem alarmed, but they had to cancel my radiation treatment indefinitely because of the wound. Maybe the chemo did a number on my body's ability to heal or maybe this is normal. If anyone knows any tips or vitamins, or they also have or had a stubborn wound that won't heal, I'd love to hear about it.
