EARLY roll call: weekend plans!!
Tomorrow Simon and I are driving to New Jersey for his annual gaming BBQ. What is a gaming BBQ you ask? Well, let's just say that it involves getting together with a bunch of nerds, I mean gamers, and talking about games. So, I hear you asking the question -- why the heck are you going, old Mimi? A few reasons: I like to the travel, I like staying at hotels, I like the spas and pools at hotels, and I like the martini bars at hotels. So, you can guess where I'll be for most of this trip. And, admittedly, I do like going to the BBQ. There are many different kinds of people to meet there. So that will take up most of my weekend. We'll be returning home on Sunday to clean a bit, go grocery shopping, and relax before the work week begins again.
So, now I desperately want to know: what are YOUR weekend plans?!

That actually sounds like fun. BBQ, spa, good hotel etc. And being with the hubby is always good. And away for a weekend, even gooder. So have a great time.
On Saturday, hubby and I are going to our best friend's birthday. She is officially a senior cause she is 55 and now she can take advantage of all the senior discounts. She just bought the cutest house in the country and it is the first time we have been there since we went up when she got the keys. All her kids and grandkids (that's where my fauxma name came from) will be there. Her daughter and son and my daughter are all best friends but Denise can't make it. She is rehearsing from 10 to 5 for a local production of Hair. Her son and daughter are married to a brother and sister so the in-laws will be there too. We have all known each other forever and it seems it get harder and harder to get together so I am glad we will be seeing them all.
Sunday we will just collapse from the fun filled Saturday.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND
I just got back from my 2nd chemo treatment. So I will probably be in bed most of the weekend. Hopefully, this one will be better. Hair starting to fall out. Might have that head shaving party this weekend if I am up to it.Get a cake and just celebrate so I won't cry. My kids are going to Holiday World Amusement Park on Saturday. I would rather go where you are going. Hope you have a great time. I guess my time will come.0 -

I am leaving for Wisconsin on sunday for a week. I am just hoping I am well enough by sunday to make trip. Just had #3 treatment yesterday.0 -

Sometimes I used to go with my husband when he had a business trip and I'd hang out at the hotel and read and relax. Or I'd go shopping. It's great to get away.
As for me this weekend, don't know yet. We do things spur of the moment.0 -
This weekend my 2 youngest
This weekend my 2 youngest grandchildren are staying with us - age 7 & 9. It is always fun to have them stay & we have lots of activities planned. Since I have just started rads, my energy level is still OK, so it should be OK. Hope everyone has a great weekend!0 -

Beginning tomorrow, HubbyDearest and I will be housesitting for DaughterDearest, about 60 miles from where we live. They're taking their boys away for the weekend. I like going there. When they built that house, they included a "guest suite" on the first floor...mainly for Bill and me. Housesitting this weekend will give me a chance to touch base with some friends I don't see very often. And, maybe we'll order pizza delivered...no pizza where we are.

Saturday: We are going back down to our cabin on the lake on the Harley! It is suppose to be absolutely gorgeous weather, so, it will make the ride that much more fun and darken my tan. ( shhh do NOT tell my radiation oncologist ) We have several friends that ride also, so, we will spend some time at the cabin and some just riding thru the country and around the lake and the woods. At night, probably cook anything and everything possible, pop the keg of beer and eat and drink like no tomorrow. And later, hmmmmmmm could be more skinny dipping by the moonlight! OOLALA!
Sunday: I will have a big breakfast for anyone that feels like eating. lol Probably do some boating and skiing for those that feel like that too. We have some party hardy friends! Just another great weekend and another great couple of days with my MAN and our friends!

No really, going out with my girlfriends Friday Night. Then I am running away on Saturday to my godmothers to house sit for 4 days. Peace and quiet, will be just me and the dogs. Yipppppy

Weekend
Looks like I will be moving my "Baby Girl" out of my house. My 'Baby Girl' will be 28 next week and she moved home in February when she was laid off. (Moved from California to Wisconsin.) Although she isn't totally thrilled with living in WI, she is happy to have found a job so she will be staying put until she can find something better (she is a fashion designer so WI is not the place to be!!) Anyway....she is moving in with a friend so she will have a bit more privacy and will be able to unpack most of her stuff.
1) I HATE MOVING!!! And.....I've already moved her more in the past 10 years than I have moved myself in my 48 years. I keep swearing that this will be the LAST time I help her, yet, I still do it. Kids.....gotta lovem.
2) I have loved having her living here. She isn't home much but it was nice to see her when she was here. At least this time she is only moving 10 miles from me and not across the country.
3) It is supposed to be hot and humid this weekend. YUCK! Oh well, maybe I'll sweat off a few pounds? (No, I'm not usually that lucky.)
It will be an emotional weekend but I still love to be helping my Baby Girl!

I am jealous that you will be going to New Jersey but hope you have a good time. I miss my family (couldn't live by them though!). They all live in New Jersey. We are tossing around possibly going to see them next month. How long does it take you to drive? It takes me 6 hours. Only 20 minutes to fly though.
This weekend I will just be hanging out again. Hubby is going to work some extra jobs again. It will be nice when I get back to work so he can cut back some. I hate to see him work this hard.

We head out for Lake Canandaigua, and my sister's lake house, on Sunday. We being: me, hubby, Xiaoxiao, and Xiaoxiao's friend. We'll be gone for two weeks! I was so afraid when this whole bc thing started that we wouldn't be able to go back there (we've spent the last 6 summer vacations with my sister's family). So I am psyched -- we all are.
Hopefully the weather will hold, but even if it doesn't, we'll have a good time.
I just hope Willow the Puppy will be OK. She spent a day last week, with Taz, at the boarding place, which I've used for years, and everything was fine. But she's still so young and attached, and I'm worried about her being sad. I'm such a Mom.

Hope everyone has a nice relaxing weekend.
As for me we have been bombarded by family and friends visiting from out of state and this weekend is no exception. I love it though and helps me to stay positive and fight this beast
Our friends arrived last night and will stay until Sunday and then my niece and her hubby and 2 kids will be here as well as my step son coming home for the school year. Hopefully it will be nice enough to take the boat to the lake....the summer up north has been pretty chilly this year!
