I start chemo on Thursday and am thinking about getting the flu shot before I start. Does anyone know of a reason why this is not a good idea? I intend to ask my doctor too.
Thanks

before chemo, they gave it to me while I was still in the hospital from surgery. My spleen was removed so I had 4 shots in one night.Check with your onc. to make sure. Everyone is different. Good luck with your chemo..val0 -
Flu Shot....
I asked the question about flu shots and was told that I could get it on the first day of my next round of chemo. They want your counts at their highest. It sounds like it will be given to me by one of the chemo nurses. I just needed to remind them.
