I don,t know if it is strange, but this day was so emotional for me.I kept remembering what it was like to get the horible news of BC.I am so thankful it is a year later and I am through all that. But it does change our lifes forever. It sure makes you appriatte dancing with NED.For all you that have helped me get through it,God Bless you.And those of you that are going through it.You will get through it also.Love and Prayers. Pat.PS I spent my day with my grandson. And thank God I have these days. PPurdin.

    Bitter and sweet
I'm sure today was both bitter and sweet for you -- looking back, seeing all you have been through and where you are today. How lovely that you got to spend the day with your precious grandson and NED!

And the years will come and go...
And you go on with your life, with the knowlege of how precious it is! That is the biggest lesson that I learned from my experience...when something threatened to take it all away!

My beau has a bad heart. I have had 2 strikes of cancer. BUT for NOW, we are celebrating life!!!

Go out and dance, dear soul!!!

    Hugs, Kathi

It does bring back those memories
For me, it's gotten better as the years go by.

October has always been my favorite month, and that was the month I was diagnosed. I still love that month but it will always remind me of my diagnosis.

We are forever changed, knowing how precious our days are.

And don't get me started on Grandsons...my baby boy is one of the biggest joys of my life! I thank God often that he's blessed me with him.

    Love you! Be blessed,

    Syl

Wow, I also got my official dx from the surgical biopsy
on July 9, 2009. But we already knew from the ultra-sound that it was cancer, just didn't know what kind. Hey, a year ago, I didn't know there were different kinds. What a difference a year makes.

A different kind of emotion this year, and of coarse worry about recurrence, but I feel like Kathi, take one day at a time and enjoy where I am today. And so far it's been a great summer. Kathi, Chen, Meena (to name just a few) have been such an inspiration.

Had my first mammogram on the remaining breast this past Thursday so of course I am anxious to get those results.....

Vicki Sam, I joined on 8-14-2009, my mind was in agony and there were so many of us going thru it at the same time. I'm so glad it's a year later!!!!!

You guys have been a tremendous shoulder to lean on, wealth of info and wonderful support.

    Hugs All, Judy :-)

    Yess!!!
Doesn't it seam sureal? I remember when I made it to my one year (May 20, 2009) and thought to myself 'Did a whole year go by already'? Well, if I managed to make it through that one, I can make it through so many more! I went from being a 'survivor' to a 'one year' survivor. It felt like a promotion! LOL
So happy that you reached that milestone, Pat, and just know that so many more of us will be celebrating this step as well. By the way, your pic looks great!
