Below the belt warriors wear your peach and teal colors for yourself, each other, and all the sisters we have lost. Being on this board long enough means I, like many of you, have seen a us lose a friend or two. Multiply that by the ladies we personally know and we are a nation. God bless the warriors. God bless the…

Hey last night while searching the web for some support for my kids i found this website. I was so excited to find it. Daylady...Update....
So...good news (I think...). Met with my gyn-surgeon, who is incredible (amazing!) and has kept me in her practice so she is also now my ob-gyn as well as my surgeon. I completely LOVE this woman. She knew immediately I was shaken by the most recent CT/PET Scans, and told me that while I could go ahead and try Topotecan…

Genetic tests reveals 2 therapies
Hi all, I'm wondering if we can continue the discussion about targeted therapies. Last night, at 10:30 pm no less, my saint of a doctor emailed me the results of the OmniSeq testing I had done on Aug 12th from her phone - she had just gotten it in her email. It revealed 2 therapies. The first, and the one she thinks is…

abnormal vaginal discharge
Hi, sorry for the odd posting - I am using an old mobile phone at times and it doesn't work well with the site. The discharge is sometimes black and also during times of postmenopausal bleeding. I am thinking it may be some very old blood maybe?

Hi Ladies, Have any of you had rising marker levels due to a hernia. I've had a rise every test since surgery in November, chemo finished in March, the CT was clear at that time. Silly questions to make you laugh
At our recent visit to the oncologist my mum was asked what is her goal from the treatment? I was confused so asked for clarification. The oncologist said is your goal to live longer or quality of life? I was amazed at how stupid the question was. I said why dont you work on a long life with good quality? She didnt ask any…

Natural treatments
Hi all, Last year when my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer we were told its not curable. And she did not have long to live. Chemo would be too difficult for her to take and since the tumours were in lungs she could not get radiotherapy. So we were left with hormone therapy only which had very little effect. After 3…

Is not having a biopsy normal? Please help!
Hi all, I stumbled upon this forum when I started desperately researching about uterine cancer. My mother, age 65, was recently diagnosed with what could be this type of endometrial/uterine cancer. She recently did a Pap test along with a ultrasound in the pelvic and transvaginal area. Her Pap results came back abnormal…

What doctor do I talk to?
I am 8 weeks done with chemotherapy. Since around 2 weeks ago, I have been breaking out in hives. They haven't been itchy, until recently, last week they started to itch like crazy. They are all over my body. I think they are related to the chemotherapy. Do I contact my regular doctor, or my oncologist?

Daylady - starting all over
Hi Ladies. I am a bit discouraged. Got the results of a PET Scan back yesterday, that was done folowing a CT scan that showed a small nodule on my liver. We were hoping we could just surgically remove it. The PET scan came back showing lesions on the pelvic wall, down the left side of the mediastinum (thorasic cavity) and…

Another post-cancer question...
I am experiencing two things that are concerning me, and I wonder if I should call the doctor regarding it, or just figure it is because my body went through hades: 1. I had a pleural effusion before my cancer diagnosis, and had the fluid removed. In the area where they put the needle I am feeling some pressure. I wouldn't…
