Thank You, O Poetess Laureate!
The Moopinator and I really loved your latest ode! Well, I could gripe a little bit about the "Aortus in tow" part, since I have been doing all the driving. But on the other hand, the Moopinator (God, I love that name) really is the leader on our journey to defeat the Beast. Today the Moopinator has unleashed her awesome…

Mammograms after treatment
I had a lumpectomy and radiation starting last July and just had my first mammogram since the surgery. About 5 days later the breast that was treated turned very red. It has gradually faded, but still is not like the other breast. I realize they squashed areas with scar tissue, but has anyone else experienced this?

Protein and rads
Hi, Does anyone have any ideas of food with high protein but not high in fat? The nutritionist wants me to eat 67grams of protein per day! I think it is a lot, she said I am small and it is actually not a lot. We need 70-80% more protein when healing. Anyway I am finding it hard already on day 2. I don't want to be gaining…

Bras and Insurance!
I saw the post about what type of bra to wear after a lumpectomy. I just wanted to let everyone know that my insurance paid almost everything for a couple of bras for me to wear after my lumpectomy. I think the bras were around $40 - $50 apiece and I only paid about $7 out of my pocket for both of them. I can't remember…

Pain With Mastectomy?
Hi All! I am having my right breast removed on July 9th (I have a 5cm lump in it) and the little book that the surgeon gave me said that there won't be much pain associated with the surgery. I think the little book is not telling the truth. Am I right? And my brother said I won't be able to use my right hand for a while…
