Nipple tattooing
I am scheduled for nipple and aureola tattooing on March 12. I'd love to hear from those of you who had that done. I've had bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction, so I know this is a very minor deal in comparison, but the thought of tattooing (even though I have no feeling in my nipple area) just makes me a little…

WARNING - Reglan Use
I just want to pass this along to everyone, and hopefully will be able to help someone avoid problems in the future. The FDA has issued a "black box" warning for the drug Reglan. This was prescribed to me after the Ativan I was started on during chemo did not seem to work. My oncologist prescribed Reglan, and I used it for…

Hi there, This is my first time posting. I was wondering if anyone can give me some insight on what it's like to be on the drug. (The side effects I've…

Hello Everyone, Well I am seven hours from going to the hospital for reconstruction. All of your posts have meant so much and been so helpful to me. hair integration/know anything about it?
I decided to wait 6 months to see if my hair will grow back thicker, but in the meantime I am doing some research. Does anyone know anything about hair restoration and specifically hair integration? There is a place in Chicago that says they take actual human hair and then somehow weave or integrate it into the rest of…

Scared!!!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. I since then had surgery to have the lump removed. A few days ago I was told I would need chemo and radiation. I am scared to death of chemo. I feel like I'm in a nightmare and can not wake up. My oncologist told me that he don't know how/why I got breast cancer because…

expanders
I had expanders put in when I had my double mastectomy and I find that one breast is not shaped like the other one. Is this normal. I was told that it could be because the pec muscle on one side is developed more and that is why it looks different. I had my first fill at the time of surgery of 120cc and then in the doctors…

golf
Lili, You had said in a previous post that you haven't played golf since June 2007. I am curious is is because of the treatment or you didn't feel like getting out there. I want to be able to commit to not only my treatments but also my extra curricular activities like golf and doing things with my 5 1/2 year old son. If…

What is good to eat and drink after Chemo?
Long story short, I am looking for information for a caregiver and her friend. Friend started Chemo and she is having hard time eating and drinking anything. We thought about a juicer and making some kind of smoothies and shakes for her. Also adding some kind of protein to help keep her strength up. I am thinking the high…

Scar tissue and reconstruction
I am such a wibbler/wobbler trying to decide about reconstruction. Do I want more surgery and recovery? What about the costs (even with good insurance), given the economy? Still, I don't want to do or not do anything that will prevent an optimal reconstruction should I choose to go that route. I have had a bilateral…

I have written many posts about my hair, so I am not going to repeat myself. I just want to share that I feel very, very bad about my appearance. I get so depressed when I look in the mirror. Last visit with Radiologist
Yesterday was my 8 week and final follow up visit with the Oncology Radiologist and all is good. She did a breast exam, reviewed records and scheduled the first mammogram six months (June) from the last day of radiation. My care has been turned over to the Oncologist. That's one more milestone to celebrate!
