    First question that pops into

First question that pops into my mind:  I wonder if Etoposide is being used for Ovarian cancer treatment in Canada?  I haven't done extensive research, but at first glance, seems not.  Too bad.

    Etoposide in Canada

Brand name Etoposide injection has been approved by Health Canada since 1994 as well as generic Etoposide since 2013 for the following conditions:

    I)  small-cell carcinoma of the lung
II)  non-small cell carcinoma of the lung
    III)  malignant lymphoma (histiocytic type)
IV)  Testicular malignancies (notably germ cell tumours including seminomas)

Judging by the similar situation with Avastin, I think that if your oncologist prescribes Etoposide for recurrent ovarian cancer "off-label" it should be available but not covered by provincial insurance and you will be stuck paying for it. I could ask next time I see my ONC (tomorrow).
