I just have to brag about my youngest daughter... She has graduated with her associates nursing degree.  I now will have my own private nurse...lol Wink  I am so proud of her.  She returned to school at age 34 to achieve this.  She stayed home to raise her sons first. Therefore, if you should ever encounter a nurse named Shelly she could be my daughter...

Wonderful!!  Please tell her welcome from me.  I am an NP who has been in nursing since 1980 and I still love it.  Welcome aboard--we need good nurses!

I am also a nurse, and now a retired LPN. We have a large number of nurses in my family.  All that are still working are RN's.  Yes, the field is in need of good nurses. Our state has pretty much faised out the LPN's though. Which I feel was an injustice to thousands of excellant nurses...  Kathy

Thank You so much Patti.... Everyone here has been so thoughtful and helpful.  I have learned a lot here.  And the most important thing I have learned is that there is still loving, companionate people in this world.   God Bless Everyone....
