Had my bone biopsy

I had my bone biopsy yesterday at T-12, L-1. First they thought they wouldn't be able to do it because my B/P was so high. It goes crazy when I'm really nervous. Anyway, they did do it. I was totally asleep and woke up in no pain, but very groggy for the rest of the day and night. I slept pretty well last night--just kept waking up when I moved the wrong way or rolled over on my back.

Today there is a very tender lump to the right of my spine where the needle was put in and moved around but I have not had to take anything at all for pain.

The doctor who did it said it would take several days for my onc. to get the report. Meanwhile, I am scheduled to start 15 rad treatments to the area next Tuesday. When my med. onc. gets the biopsy report, we will discuss which systemic chemo will be necessary.

Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. I just kept repeating my new mantra, "Let go, Let God."

    Hopefully you wont have to wait too long. I remember being so surprised that it wasn't worse than it was.

    Im glad the procedure went well & your not having much pain. I hope it doesn't take too long to get the results, I know you are ready to attack this beast & beat the crap out of it ;)

    Waiting is
    hard to do with out being nervous. Try to rest and relax. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that the results are as good as you deserve.

    Renee so happy you got thru this with little pain. Your mantra couldnt be any better! I used "Let go and Let God" quite frequently during my dx and treatment, because you know once we do everything we need to and can do, all we then can do is rely on God. We are responsible for effort and God is responsible for results along with our medical team. Hugs to you.
