    Margo is on her way
Penny, in case you didn't see it, she sent us an e-mail that she was leaving around 6 p.m. No one has cancelled yet, even with the snow. Have a safe trip. See you tomorrow.

    xoxo,

Chocolate martinis - you don't say!
Hmmm, I wonder who had them?!? What happens in Hershey stays in Hershey (except for the pictures). I'm glad you are home safe - how about Margo?

yes margo got in about 9 or
yes margo got in about 9 or so. she is hysterical. We had quite the trip finding our way around in the snow and a very confused GPS. We were a bit late for our appointments but I managed to get a cocoa massage. Which was heavenly. Jean Lili and traci spent a great time at the spa and looked very relaxed and were glowing with the treatments. Jean was given a special room as her suite was not available as she wanted. We met there before and after dinner. Sue and Char had their husbands with them (Saints) and they sat through many stories.sues husband is newly retired and was enjoying being the mayor of the hotel making frineds with all the staff and guests. chars husband dotes on her. Hot flashes a fan got passed around and Char has her battery operated one. LOL. I did not partake of the chocolate martinis as I thought I would fall flat on my face although I waffled about it. anyone see the movie bridesmaids? I would have been the main character on the plane. We had gotten up so early and i dont drink normally.Next year am definately doing it.
Everyone is an individual and so enjoyable. They translate just like they are on line. We all got along well and had plenty to talk about. (shocking) Margo wanted to do the whole drive, she was quite the road warrior and keeps you entertained. she is a nut, really smart and no nonsense say it like it is Mainer. Just adores her jake. Tracy is missing Wendy but quite involved with her animals and enjoys malibu rum!!! jean was our coordinater and had to reun interference with all the crazy weather. She did a fabulous job.Thank you Jean she was so calm. Lilli, Sue, Sue , Char , Babette, Linda, all wonderful. Hysterical in their own way. so nice to meet sisters inpink although my family thought I was crazy. My daughter was convinced Margo was going to be a serial killer. How could I just go somewhere with someone I met on line? Do as I say not as I do LOL. Hard to explain the connection to outsiders. Anyone who wants a great spa experience save you r pennies , get a jar and start throwing spare change in now, definately worth the price of admission!!!!LOL.

    Okay, I confess.
I was one of the chocolate martini gals. And they were kind of loaded. As tired and relaxed as we all were it made for an interesting walk back to the rooms. But you just can't beat a chocolate covered cherry martini! We'll eventually get pictures downloaded but it was great to meet everyone in person and enjoy the chocolate pampering while watching it snow. The travel was uneventful until I got close to home. We have limbs and trees down AGAIN. Almost like the Memorial Day storm except we didn't lose power. (Many in the area did.) But I digress. It was a great weekend full of friendship, chocolate, and pampering. We're already talking about next year's time together.

We all made it to Hershey and back safely
Although, I know that Traci & Char were without power, that Linda had some (she said minor)damage I hadn't heard how Waffle8 did going home. While travelling Saturday was horrendous, Sunday the roads were dry and the sun shone brightly. However, we drove north and I'm not sure about driving conditions northeast. Our brave road warrior, Margo, who drove from Maine arrived safely home.

As for Hershey - well, hardly any words to describe the warmth of being surrounded by good friends, chocolate, pampering and laughter.

Several ladies started their spa treatments Saturday morning, I arrived for lunch at 11:30. We dined in our robes and sandals. Lunch was a delightful buffet - delicious, right down to the (bearded) cheddar soup - right Waffle8? Off to our various treatments. I had the cocoa bean polish, ooh, do I smell & feel good! After comparing treatments, I decided that next year (yep, this has got to be an annual event) I'm going for the facial & massage. Even my hubby is planning a treatment, he thinks the Cuban experience is the one for him.

Dinner was great, Jean (our wonderful organizer), Lili, Penny, Traci, Margo, Linda, Skipper Sue, Waffle8, Char & hubby, John, and my hubby, Rolly & me. Chocolate martinis of several varieties - next year I am going to compare the Chocolate Raspberry and the Chocolate covered Cherry - that alcohol infuse cherry in the bottom of the glass looked very tempting. If you ordered a martini, you were given a glass.

    Back to the 'Conversation room' where we chatted, laughed and gave and accepted gifts, hugged and vowed to do this again. {Thank you, Jean!}

Sunday morning, we met at Chocolate world, sans Linda, Margo & Penny, due to their long drive home. A virtual tour of the chocolate making process and some souvenier shopping, more hugs and then headed home.

I can't begin to tell you how great an experience this was... I know many of us have had the opportunity to meet each other & treasure those memories. I have met our Missrenee and JK1954 (who just retired and is heading to FL) and look forward to meeting more of our sisters at every opportunity.

I'm starting a "Hershey" fund - throwing my change in a jar for a great time next year!
I will post pics, but as some of you know, I am computer challenged.

    With love,

    Sue

    Hershey
What a wonderful weekend! After arriving in Hershey in the wet rain/snow, I went immediately for a Sweet Feet pedicure - complete with a raw sugar and brown sugar scrub, then a chocolate/mud mask, then a hot oil treatment with heated booties. Heavenly! (plus new coral-colored tootsies!) Then some time in the quiet room (although I understand that Jean and Char were thrown out for not being quiet!)- I was surprised at how busy it was, given the weather at that point. Looking outside at the beautiful snow-covered landscape of the Hotel Hershey, it looked like a winter wonderland - surely a scene to be pictured in a Christmas card. We then gathered together in the reception area of the Oasis restaurant, where, as Sue stated, we all were wearing our robes and slippers. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, complete with a vase of pink roses on the table, and little goodie bags from the Hershey Spa at our places. Then it was off to more spa treatments. I had a cocoa massage which was absolutely wonderful and SO relaxing! I am dreaming of another one! Jean and I left the Spa for the Hershey Lodge, where she had managed to book a hospitality suite for us, which was so nice! We were able to relax there before and after dinner, and share snacks and stories. Dinner was relaxing and a great chance to chat, but I must say, there were some wild goings-on around the table involving the sampling of lots of chocolate martinis! Back at the suite, once everyone stumbled back, we enjoyed more stories and a gift exchange. On Sunday morning, I needed to leave fairly early, as my hubby drove to Hershey to pick me up (I only live 40 minutes away). I really regret missing the fun at Chocolate World. Next year, ladies. Hope to meet even more of you next year! It is so rewarding to meet pink sisters in person! Like someone else mentioned, everyone is just like they are on-line! No surprise there, I guess.
Many thanks to Jean for pulling this all together! She is quite the efficient organizer! It was such a nice weekend - I've been telling everyone how much I enjoyed it. People seem surprised that we did this with a bunch of people we don't even know; what they don't understand is that even though most of us had never met in person, we certainly did know each other! Hugs, Linda
