    Absolutely.
I was just given my flu shot during my visit to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. All my drs agree that it is even more important now.

    Hi Tessa
I get flu and pneumonia shots. Flu is yearly pneumonia every three. I have enough problems with breathing at the best of times and I am on some serious immuno-suppressants for auto-immune disease. The shots cause me no problems,Ron.

Just got it two weeks ago
in the infusion room. The nurse checked blood counts first to make sure it could be handled, but they are offering it to everyone.

    I get mine
I got one after resection, before starting chemo in 2009. I got one again last fall when re-starting chemo. I got one 2 weeks ago before starting my third year of chemo.

Getting the flu while on chemo could be very dangerous. The benefits of a flu shot outweigh any risks as far as I am concerned. My oncologist insists on flu shots, but I don't always follow his advice if I do not agree. But I agree with him on this.

    Get flu and pneumona shots
I have got the flu shot and pneumonia shots since being dx in 2009. Knock on wood haven't have the flu or a bad cold for that matter since. Good idea to get the shots.

    Nope
Seems like when I've gotten the flu shots that's when I'd come down hard with it. My doctor recommends it but really haven't had any problem not getting it.

    Flu Shots
Hi: I'm getting mine on Tuesday. My doctors recommend them as it would be so easy to get the flu at the cancer centre which is part of the hospital. Had it last year too and didn't have any side effects (during chemo).
