in Breast Cancer #1
dr. said she may get to come home today ,if counts or ok. She was doing better yesterday.When she went in hospital white count was only a 3 after 1st set of white plateletts and red blood cells count went to 25 then dropped back to 19.then after 2nd transfusions is up to 45. Brusing was awful,looks alot better now.She still is very weak. Hopfully she won't try to over do when she gets home. My daughter Lisa is planning on fixing meals (soups,etc.)& I hope to do what ever I can. Laurissa is strong willed, thats a good thing...(Our mother was german,dutch our father bull headed irish !!!)So I know where it comes from.But at some point we all need help. She was set to have cemo again this mon. I guess if her counts are ok they will do it. I'm sure as soon as she feels better she will let you all know whats up.So thankful your all here for her,It means so much to her and I

    Since living in The Netherlands for a few years, I have learned fully the strong will of these people. And, my beau, who is the 'real' dutchman, is 1/4 German, rest Dutch. And I am a good portion German...so I can also agree with you there!

    I am glad you and your daughter live nearby to be able to help Laurissa. That fighting, stubborn spirit will help her through this rough patch, no doubt. I will prayer her WBC continues to go up. Thanks for keeping us posted on your sisters progress. We consider one of our own, sister that is. Tell her she is rich with boatload of Sister's in Pink who are thinking of her and praying for her as well.

    Glad she is doing better.
    And can possibly come home today. It is so much easier to relax and recouperate in your own home. I know the combo, My mom was German Dutch/ and my dad 100% Irish. I believe that the combination of stubborness and quick temper is what keeps me going. However, I have a hard time asking for help as I have always been independant and yes, a little stubborn! So that is something that I am working on!

    Lauressa is in my prayers.

    Thank you so much for the update, it is great to hear that her counts have risen and that she has a strong will that will surely give her strength. I hope she does rest and not over do once she gets home. She continues in my prayers.
