My last radiation treatment will be this week. It is a two minute internal one. Has anyone experienced this type of radiation?

Hi -

No, I'm sorry, I didn't have any internal radiation. How do they do that?

The last week of radiation, I had what they called a 'boost' - the radiation beam was focused directly on the tumor area. But no internal radiation...maybe I'm misunderstanding the terminology.

Whatever it is called I'm scheduled for 10:00 am this morning. Hope it is not too painful.
Cannot take to much more pain.

Hi cap630--

I will be thinking of you today as you get the last of your radiation treatment. I hope this procedure will not cause you any more pain and that it is what finishes off your tumor! Please let us know how it went.

Just returned and it wasn't as bad as I thought. I did medicate before going. Currently,no pain, but maybe some side effects in the next few days. All looks good.
Thanks for your support - this website is such a blessing.

So, so happy for you that you are FINISHED with the treatment. You probably won't be too comfortable within the next week or so, but I think that you will discover that about the 8th day post treatment, healing is relatively quick. Blessings to you!!! Angela
