studies - request for help

in Ovarian Cancer #1
My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 primary peritoneal/ovarian cancer 2 years and 2 months ago at the age of 62(although she turned 63 within weeks of her diagnosis). Her presenting symptom was pleural effusion - she thought she had pneumonia and it ended up to be cancer. She has been in chemo for all but 3 months of the past 2 years. Her latest cat scan showed increased lymph nodes and quarter size spots on the surface of her liver. She is also having increased ascites and lymphodema. Up to now, she has been considered stable.

With this evidence of progression, she is looking into studies more seriously than before. She called MD Anderson(in TX?) and is going to consider whether the studies they are offering will offer potential help to her. We live in the Chicago area. Is anyone in a study or aware of studies showing true potential for this type of cancer?
