Radiation and Red Wine

Options
I read a blurb in Newsweek (May 23 & 30, 2011) that I thought was encouraging. I hope it's all right if I quote it:
"A compound in red wine helps prevent death from radiation, according to a new study from researchers at the University of Pittsburg. Resveratrol, already celebrated as an antioxidant, was shown to prevent death in irradiated mice. At what point should we just start adding this stuff to the water supply?" Yes and so much of what I have read says that we shouldn't consume alcohol. It gets to be that one clinical study is not a meta analysis. It was on the news today that there is also antioxidents in the coffee bean and it helps prevent prostate cancer. I am going to start drinking coffee again in moderation. After all I am a good Norwegian/Dane...
    Cheers!

    Cheers back to ya!
I am so glad I don't have to give up my glass of dinner wine. Incidentally, my name is also Lori. My granddaughter named me Bots when she was a year old.

I've never tried to stop drinking coffee. They are finding too many good things about it.

    Cheers ladies!
So my small glass of red wine with dinner may continue. of course, it was on the advise of the anti-cancer book that I started to drink it - so it must be right!
