New formed breast with fat grafting......

Have to tell you all - after wearing the brava machine for 10 hours a day the last two days, I have a breast when I take the machine off. You can see it. It's almost as big as my other breast that they lifted. I might only need to go through the grafting one more time if it stays this big. Wouldn't that be great?

Can't wait for the doctor to see it on Tuesday.

Love and Light,
Vicki

    Had my follow-up .....
with the doctor and it was a little disheartening. I had a bruise on the new Brava breast and figured that was normal because of all of the pulling from the machine. Well, turns out it is a blood clot so they drained it their in the office and now I have to go back in next week so he can check it out. So part of my growth (remember I was so happy to have a breast) is from the pooling of the blood. Oh well, just a little bump in the road to recovery.

    Have a great day everybody.

Started wearing the Brava machine at night.....
and it is much more comfortable that way. Last night I just fell asleep and never woke up until this morning and the machine stayed on all night without coming off. Yay. I will wear it this way instead of during the day from now on.

    Bumps and Brava Sleep
    Vicki,

OK...so good to hear how it is going...sorry about the bump...I had a few bumps along the way, too..I think in almost any procedure bumps will happen from time-to-time. Just finished my 3rd surgery...had a bump, but think my surgeon found a real good solution to it...This may be my last surgery ....won't know for sure till the breast settles down from the surgery...if it looks good...won't be going in for a third breast!!!! Ha Ha!! Two is enough for me!

So GLAD that you are finding that you can sleep with BRAVA at night...to me, it made it so much easier...then when I got up, it was just about time to take it off and be FREE the rest of the day!

funny you would ask today how I am doing....
Yesterday I saw my plastic surgeon and their is a hard spot in my new breast so I had to quit wearing the machine and I go for a STAT ultrasound tomorrow so they can find the hardened part and remove it. My follow-up appt. isn't until April 28th so I know I will be off the machine until then. If I am able to start back up wearing it on that date then my next fill will be around Labor Day.

Yet, another bump in the road.

    Another Bump
Sorry to hear about another bump in the road. I wonder if that hardened part might not just be a bit of fat necrosis. At any rate, so glad your PS is very thorough. I can't remember..did your PS go to any training/conferences that Dr. Khouri held?

So if all is well after 4/28, you will wait until Sept. to do your next grafting?

    Mistaken
I meant to say that my next fill should be around Memorial Day, not Labor day; like I wrote. I always get those two mixed up. Yes, it could very well be fat necrosis. 2 weeks ago I had blood behind the breast so they drained that out. That is right where the hard part is now on my breast.

I know my plastic surgeon went to a conference that Dr. Khouri held and he met and talked with 4 of the women that had their breasts done with the Brava machine and he was impressed. I'm not sure if he got any hands on training.

I get those two holidays mixed up, too...always have to stop and think for a minute! I know it can be a little disappointing as you hit those little bumps, but I think it is so worth it in the end. One thing that is so neat is that having had that first fill, you have some "lift off." I found that I was so encouraged when I went from flat to having some elevation on my chest!

Will be praying that all continues to go well for you!

    During the ultrasound......
they found some blood built up in my breast so they drained that and now I am off of the brava machine until May 12th when I go back to my plastic surgeon again. So, just taking a little break. He is hoping that the hardened fat will be reabsorbed into my body so we are giving it time to do that.

Will keep you all informed when my fills start back up again.

    Vicki
