I just heard it on TV - Geraldine Ferraro passed this morning to Multiple Myeloma which she had been fighting 12 years.

For those too young to remember her - she was the first woman to be included on a major party Presidential ticket when Walter Mondale chose her as his running against Reagan/Bush.

    I remember her!
She was interviewed when Hilary was trying to get the nomination. Quite a lady. Sorry to hear of her passing.

    Yup, I'm old enough....
but the chemo brain keeps me guessing...*smile*

I'm sorry to hear the news...she was a pioneer for women in politics...

    Thanks for the update!

This also may bring some awareness and extra funding to cancer research as people tend to donate when someone in the public arena dies of cancer.

    I didn't vote for her -
but I might could have for her - couldn't vote for Mondale though. She was definately a classy lady who accomplished so much!

    Classy lady
She was attracive, poised and very smart. She will be missed.

We haven't heard alot about her in years and maybe with the cancer she kicked back and relaxed.

Her one wish was to live long enough to see a lady become President. I am sure it will happen someday but sad she didn't see it.
