Hey You Guys, You know I made it through Chemo with your help. Now I'm on to the next phase of my journey: rads! This Friday I have my planning session. Thanks to all you wonderful folks, I know exactly what to expect and what to do! I thought I would be scared out of my mind, but guess what? I am not. I feel that has to do with reading all your posts re: rads. All that timely advice. I'll keep you all posted on my journey and thank you in advance for all your loving support.

I did not have chemo but I did have daily-for 8 wks! HOPEFULLY you'll have experience I had..it was a good one...great caring staff...no reaction to skin! I did not tire or really have any side effects...

    I WISH YOU well....

Good luck tomorrow with your planning session. It will take awhile, so, don't be upset about that. I think it took them about 40 minutes to an hour for me. But, the treatments themselves only take a few minutes. Good luck!

Good luck tomorrow and I'm sending you all kinds of positive thoughts. I haven't had rads yet so I can't give any input there, but I will be hoping and praying that everything is smooth sailing for you.

    Ouch
I went for my planning session yesterday. I was there for almost 3 hours! The worst part of it wasn't even holding my arm up in that position. The worst part for me was the tattoo! Geez, I thought it was just gonna be a dot made with a pen or something. I never imagined they were gonna dig through my skin with a frickin needle! Wow, that smarts! I begin rads on April 11th, which just happens to be my Birthday! Happy Birthday to me... They gave me some cream to use at nighttime called "elta lite." They do give aquaphor, but not right away.

So I have a couple of weeks of "normalcy" whatever that is. Good thing too because last week I moved my 80 year old Mom in with me. She is very sick and I am trying to take care of her, plus care for myself.

    Be Well,

    Sorry that the tattoos hurt.
Sorry that the tattoos hurt. I just felt a little prick with mine. Talk to your rads oncologist, but, you should start using your creams from day one. Even if your skin looks ok, remember it is being radiated.

    Good luck to you!

    Sorry it was so

    Hi Diane,
Sorry it was so painful. God bless you and your Mom. I know how hard that is to take care of a loved one.
You are a special person for doing that and I send lots of hugs and prayers to you, sincerely.
