A group of us from the Southern California area got together for lunch this afternoon here in the San Fernando Valley -- we hugged, laughed, remembered our dear Heidi and Moopy, and reminded ourselves how important it is to enjoy life with companions for the journey.

And we took lots of pictures, of course -- I've posted several on my expressions page -- just click on my name, to the left, then on "expressions."

aisling8 brought us all beautiful paper cranes she made, faith_trust brought fun party gift bags, and we all "got lei'ed" :-o, and New Flower brought little plants to remind us all to celebrate life.

I do, however, have a complaint, Ms. faith_trust: I discovered upon arriving home that the gift bags you gave us included very annoying noisemakers. How did I discover this, you ask? My girlfriend (a grown woman of 50, I might add) is currently parading up and down the hallway like a toddler, trying to see how much noise she can make. Thank you SO much for that.

  • I believe that is referred to as "joyful noise"
Thank you for the pictures and the delightful company for the afternoon. It was nice to see familiar faces with longer hair.

Walk a mile, get a Starbucks, walk back a mile use the restroom, walk another 2 miles....hey, I'm in training for May!

Pssst...there's a silly straw, bubbles, and birthday candles in that bag too. Don't let Trace play with matches!

I will be sure to keep that
I will be sure to keep that away from my 6 year old. He's noisy enough on his own. It was great to meet everyone, thanks again Traci for planning this! Jennifer

    Another wonderful gathering
Thank you, all, for your lovely companionship -- it's so nice to laugh about the frustrations in life with people who really understand.

Yep, we're in training for May's Revlon walk. That means you, too, VickiSam:). ( she's not too keen on the idea of getting sweaty ).

I had a good time -- wish all of you could have joined us.

    You all are BEAUTIFUL!

First of all, I would like to Thank -- Victoria, Faith, Hope
& Sass and New Flower - for the beautiful and wonderful gifts of love. Next, I would like to shout out to TraciinLA .. special KUDOS for hooking us 'Girls' up with a wonderful eatery!

Dawne.Hope -- You are so kind to think that I am outgoing, but I am the quiet, shy gal in the group. I was delighted to spend the afternoon with my fellow WARRIORS - Sisters in PINK. I enjoyed myself, and today's outing, healed my acky soul. --

And yes, those girls are urging me to walk with them in early May - Revlon Breast Cancer Walk == I am not afraid to walk, I am afraid to sweat --LOL just a joke. gee, I guess I might have to start walking and getting into shape -- don't want to embarass our group on 'game' day in May, with me lagging behind -- huffing and puffing all the way to the finish line. Just a thought, perhaps I can bring along a pair of roller blades, and make a quick break to the finish line ?

I have photo's of my daughter and I .. taken today, however, I am having difficulties changing over my photo -- from what I've had posted -- my pink ribbon. Traci in LA .. has offered her experise. Hoping to exhibit real life photo's soon.

Love you all... shy, Vicki Sam

    Shy??????
    So not!!!

VickiSam is wonderful and funny and most importantly, to me, "gets" my sarcasm. See, she's good at it, too, and doing it right before your very eyes when she calls herself shy Vicki.
