also Complete Abdominal Ultrasound Result- Normal!!!....I am so happy, I was crying while I was reading the results in the hospital hallway. I talked to my breast surgeon to order the oncotype dx for me. I'm just hoping my insurance would approve it because I heard it's expensive. After the tests, doctors and surgeries, I think I've reached my out of pocket deductibles. Bills are starting to come in...OMG, having cancer is not only one of the most horrible thing that can happen to someone, it's expensive too!!!....anyway I'm still ecstatic about my tests results:-)

Congrats RooDee! If your insurance won't pay for the test, maybe your oncologist could contact the company that does the test to see if they would do it for you for free?

    Wonderful news!
Someone from the OncoTypeDX lab will probably call you. They are wonderful. Most insurance companies will cover at least some of the cost. Also, anything that is not covered can be scaled down depending on your income. They also have some free options for women who can't afford the test. They are very helpful. My insurance covered it as out of network so they appealed the decision for me. The insurance company cut another 1,000 off my cost. In the end I paid 800 for a 3,000 test even though I had hit my deductable. The lab accepted 50 per month. It was well worth the cost.

This is so informative, and i'ts always great to know that I can make payments. How long did it take to get the result?
