Mrs. Manning, I know exactly how you feel! Bring that NFL mojo! We have Seahawk season tickets and last fall my oncologist wouldn't let me go to any games until I had been out of chemo for three weeks! (too big of a crowd with too many germs!) I missed the first two home games and it nearly killed me! When I finally got back it was like all was right with the world again. (If only the team had been a little better!) First home game for this season is Sunday!! Have a great time at your party and congrats on your port.
I'm a Sun Devil alumni and I watch from far away but I still love my Devils! I loved those hot nights in the stadium! I might get to see them this year when they play the Univ. of Wash. My husband is a Husky alumni and fan. It's kind of like Eli - you can't have everything!0 -

As for football, hubby & I are New England Patriots and New York Giant fans. I don't watch nearly as much NFL as I did in my younger days. We do watch more college football and root for the UCONN Huskies! I was a cheerleader in high school and so was my daughter. Yah, rah, rah! Go team!

I LOVE football but can't say that I can share your enthusiasm this year. I live in NC and, well, we have the Panthers here. When your team holds the dubious record of being the only team who can't score a single touchdown in the pre-season, you know you're in for a long winter. Of course, my husband is from Buffalo so we have always had a second team to root for but then, we're talking about the Bills (probably the only team that could play equally with the Panthers:(

I'm beginning to get excited
I'm beginning to get excited but am soooooo tired. I worked Thurs, Sat, Mon & yesterday and I work 24 hr shifts (I know whine, whine, whine), but that was rough. I do have a call room and get to sleep some, but it is still very tiring and I rarely do back-to-back shifts like that. We are leaving for Savannah shortly so I had to get my shifts in that way (I did it to myself).
Anyway, I have on my "Fight Dat" black and gold shirt and my black and gold fleur de lis earrings. I just put out my black & gold fleur de lis banner. And I bought 2 beautiful steaks. We will just have a quiet night watching the game as I am too tired to have company.
I'll try and get Danny to take some pix later of my new shirt. Oh, and GO SAINTS!0 -

All my family, except me, are having fun going to the ASU games. They are taking the grandkids this Saturday. I did my duty and went with Bill, then fiance, when we were at ASU. lol
It sounds like you are in Phoenix also! Can we say it is getting cooler now that the nights are below 80! lol

I love football season. Last year when I was going through chemo it got me through many a Saturday and Sunday, that's for sure. This year I can do some serious BBQ and really enjoy it!!! BRING IT!0 -

I'm a college fan more than pro (mainly because my Chicago Bears ALWAYS STINK!) and I can't
"Bear" to watch them! It's sheer torcher! LOL.
However...I'm a life-long Nebraska Cornhusker fan and LOVE my Huskers to death! GO BIG RED!
So excited for the season to start!! WHoo-hoo!!
Watch out Big 10 Conference! Next year the Huskers are gonna take lot's of you down!! LOL:)

that Football is more than a man's sport. Everything turned out great .. party and all, however, the Vikings lost .. It's about 12 midnight here in California and I am just winding down ... long day!
College games .. are a hoot! Some are better than professional, but I didn't say that too loudly - otherwise the men in my life will get a little upset with me. ..
Going to stretch, and try and get some sleep.

Vicki, I am an avid football fan, too. Saturday's, it's the college game and you'll find me rooting for the Florida Gators. Then, on Sunday's I'm all for professional football and rooting for the Jaguars. Needless to say, the house doesn't get much attention during these months.
