edited March 2014 in Breast Cancer #1
HOOOORAY! I officially completed my last round of chemo yesterday! Tomorrow I am scheduled for a Ultra sound due to a lump on the inside of my left breast which feels rubbery and appeared after I held a new born about 10 days after my lumpectomy in december. I asked my Onc if it was cancer would I need more chemo and he said 'No" since I was having surgery re-excision to get wider margins. I am so happy to have the chemo behind me. Hoepfully next is surgery, the radiation. I will be on tomoxifen until I have not had a period for over a year, then they will switch me to the post menopausal pill. Since I am on herceptin, they are scheduling me for an echo-cardiogram to measure my Ejection fraction for my heart. I am looking forward to having hair again. He is putting me on effexor since I have been on zoloft for years and I cant take it on Tamoxifen. Anyways, I hope the worst is over and I can get on to the next part of my treatment. Needless to say, I did the happy dance yesterday. any opinions? or advice? Comments?

God bless each of you
Becky

    Ultra sound results good
I was getting worried, because I had a new lump on the inside of my breast and thickening around the incision site. Praise the lord, they are just fluid. Surgery is on as scheduled, then rads. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I feels sooooo good to have chemo over with. I still am on the journey, but so happy to have the chemo behind be now.

Hugs and prayers and God Bless each one of you.

Becky, enjoy completing this part of your journey; sounds like chemo may be the worst part from what I'm hearing. Start mine next week, not looking forward to it but hope to get thru it and join you in celebrating. Rest up and get ready for the next part and keep posting.

    Hi Becky,
I am so glad that you are done with your chemo. You and I had the same exact chemo. medications. I will be finishing radiation this week and will continue with herceptin until October. I too have been on zoloft for years and my onc. discussed it with my doctor and they are going to have me stay on zoloft and take tamoxifen. They said it would not have much effect on the tamoxifen. What does your onc. say about zoloft and tamoxifen?
