Just a little note to let you all know that my masectomy is over with and I'm home. A little sore but not on much pain meds. A home nurse came today to check on me and said it all looks good. I finally took a peek when she looked at the incision and it didn't look as bad as I thought it would. Funny thing, the breast still feels like its there. Anyone else felt that way? My main complaint is being tired and dizzy and still have this sinus drainage which starting to block up my head, nose and ears. Will have the tubes out in a week or so and that's got to be a good thing. Thank you for all being there with me, comforting me and making me feel warm and fuzzy while the surgery was going on. The drs. said usually they didn't allow that many people in the operating room but because you were all friends he allowed it. Now if I could just get a good nights sleep. Hope to get rested up and get back with everyone soon. Thanks for all your hugs and prayers too.

Sunrae thank you for your good news. Your doctors were so kind to let us all in the operating room with you, but I know for sure being as bold as I am, I would have scrubbed and donned my surgical garb and held your hand even if the doc said no. Heal my dear friend, get sleep, take care of those drains and keep that beautiful smile. My prayers continue to be prayed for you. Hugs, Hugs, Hugs.

I'm SO happy to hear that everything went well. I thought it might be quite some time before we heard, but I'm relieved it was only a couple days! YAY! Sure hope you sleep ok... I was just so happy to be home. I only stayed in the hospital one night myself, but it was one night too many. They don't let you sleep through the night in those darn hospitals. The nurses will all come in and say 'ok, now rest... it's the best thing for you', and then they come in a couple hours later to take your vitals... like REALLY? Remember... a pillow tucked under your mastectomy site helps if you need to roll on that side. You made it! I'm so thrilled that it went well, Sunrae!

    Lots of tender hugs, Mar

    Yay!
A big step completed! I can relate about wanting a a good nite's sleep. Once those drains are out that will help. So glad to here it's over and isn't it amazing that there is not the pain you think there would be?

Thanks for letting everyone know how you are.

    Hugs, Judy :-)

    Sweet Sunrae ♥
So happy to read that your surgery is behind you now and praying that you heal quickly. The room was a wee bit crowded, but, none of us wanted to be anywhere else...except with you!
