    Considering that the guy I
Considering that the guy I was seeing before my diagnosis in December seems to have bailed, I have absolutely no plans at all. However, in keeping with my positive outlook, I am feeling pretty lucky that I discovered just what kind of man he was before I got attached to him. I'll probably buy myself the kinds of chocolates that I like, and watch chick flicks to my heart's content!

I have to say that I am one
I have to say that I am one of those women who thinks that Valentine's Day is such a contrived, guilt-inducing "holiday", that I have NO plans! My Reggie aways golfs on Sundays, and it would not be romanitc of me to ask him to cancel that! LOL

Reggie and I take good care of each other and are loving and thankful and romantically inclined all of the time anyway~ I do not need chocolate that I won't eat anyway, or flowers on a specific day for that to be proven to me.

I did, however, hear a sweet Valentine's Day gift idea...I just may incorporate it! It was suggested to write a sweet note saying "I would love to spend hours kissing you", and give a little gift bag full of half a dozen different flavored lip-balms! And then follow through on the kissing part!

    Hugs,
    Chen♥

    Love Vday!
My hubby is very romantic, always has been, and shows me all of the time how much he loves me. But, on Valentines Day, he is going all out. We have dinner reservations at a great restaurant, so, I get to dress up. He said he has lots more surprises for me during the day and evening. So, this should be very interesting. ( wink ) On Sunday, he said he wanted to serve me breakfast in bed. I love that! I love my husband!

Hope all of you spend it however you wish and just have a great day!

    Sue :)

P.S. I have a few things in store for him too, but, not sharing those. ( wink again )

It has snowed the last 2 weekends, a blizzard last Saturday and we have a blizzard today. So, i have a lot of catching up to do on my social life. Hubby and i will be busy. With all this snow, we have had enough of the snuggles and wink wink. Enjoy

    Not Much
I will not do too much this weekend. I have a pretty bad sinus infection so I don't really feel like looking for love in all the wrong places. However, I am all about consuming mass quantities of chocolates no matter how ill I am. I will probably also snuggle with my furry friends watching the latest Law and Order SVU marathon. Yes, like that is romantic.

At any rate, I hope everyone has a happy valentine's day.

    Fun weekend plans
Hubby and I are going away for the weekend to a lovely hotel at the Beach. It's supposed to be back up in the '70s for the weekend, so it should be just perfect.

Before we'd met, he'd had some pretty awful V-Days, and was planning on telling the next woman that he got serious with that he just didn't do Valentine's Day. Then he met me, and my birthday is ON V-Day, so of course that wasn't going to work!

I did promise him that he'd never have a bad Valentine's Day again, and I intend to keep that promise!

Hope all of you have a beautiful weekend, and remember it's OK to be your own Valentine!

    Just Being Together
After 40 years of marriage I'm not sure how romantic it will be but just being together and still in love with each other is enough. This bout with bc has made me doubly aware of how much I love this man I married. My husband has had heart problems for the last four years and I have had the opportunity to think of what life would be like without him. Now he is thinking the same about me. The good in this is a heightened awareness of how much we took life & love for granted. Never again...never again.

Also, being on this site and feeling the sisterhood has given me renewed strength to know, even tho we are strangers we are still one. Thank you all for being on this site and for all your uplifting posts.

I can't wait! My husband is
I can't wait! My husband is fixing a romantic dinner for the two of us here at home. We had talked about going out for dinner on Saturday, but, we both decided it would be so much more romantic and quieter here in our home. He has always gotten me flowers and a gift or gifts on Valentines Day, so, I am excited. I have a beautiful card for him and a gift also. He has always left little notes for me, ever since we were married around the house. So, I am sure I will find some good ones everywhere this weekend. He is very creative! Its those little things that make me love him and appreciate him so much.

Happy Valentines Day to all of you!

    Very good question
We haven't even discussed it. Someone gave us a gift certificate to a nice restaurant while I was healing from my mastectomy, so I think I may see if I can get reservations. As of last night, I am completely bald, so I can try out the new wig. My husband has been so wonderful since my diagnosis so I think I will make the night about him...it is our 1st Valentine's together.

Thanks for reminding me to get a move on it...been tired & sick from chemo so I haven't thought about it.

well... since I am a single, a few single friends and I have decided to pack a picnic basket and head to the beach for the afternoon. The weather here is meant to be good meaning sunny (not raining) and a little warm (northern California).

We have reservations to go out and eat. My husband booked them quite awhile back as this restaurant is always filled. We have always gone out to celebrate and we always have a wonderful time. I know it will be a great night as always.

    black lace
After 33 years of marriage, our Valentine's Days had gotten predictable. But now, after this breast cancer, I wanted to do something different. He was so supportive and I survived! I've always been pretty shy about my body, but having survived a lumpectomy and radiation, I'm going to celebrate with him that I'm still pretty desireable. I bought a black shortie, see through nightie with black lace panties. If I have the nerve to put it on, I know he'll be pleasantly surprised. Hope this is not TMI! LOL! During the day we will be with family celebrating our loved ones and my great-niece's 10th birthday.

    Love Your Adventure
    Connie,

You go for it. You are my kind of girl. I love the idea that after 33 years of marriage you are breaking out of the predictability for celebrating Valentine's Day. I think it's marvelous that you bought the black lace nightie and lace panties. You are going to make your husband very happy, not to mentioned how excited you will be at the joy that you have created. Doing the unpredictable adds spice to the marriage.

    Have a Great Night.

Lots of Hugs and Lots of Kisses,
    Janelle
