Where is Reddie? Has anyone heard anything at all from her? I do hope she is doing well.
i have posted a couple of times looking for reddie with no reply. i certainly hope that she is okay!
Reddie, we'd really like to hear from you. Please don't feel you have to edit any info. Just check in.
I'm at the hospital due to stomach problems that caused one of the chemo side effect. When I had first Chemo on June 26th then a week later my hemoglobin dropped and I had bad stomach ache so I went to the hospital and they found that my intestine got inflamed and my colon got infection. They had to give me antibotics and blood transfusion. It was not pleasant experience so it took me a long time to recover. I was suppose to have second chemo treatment but the doctors don't feel that I'm ready so they had to postponed. I called the doctor last Monday that I was having fevers and mild stomach pain and diahhrea like. Good thing they tested on me with blood works, blood culture, BM and urine testing before I have second chemo last Friday (August 7th). They wanted to have me to take cat scan first but somehow they found that I have abscess and infection in my intestine so I had to stay in hospital for several days. They had to put drainage from the abscess and antibotics. I'm feeling much better than before. Thanks for thinking about me! Reddie
Everyone was very worried about where you were and what had happened to you. I checked every day to see if you had responded yet. I am very sad to hear what you've been going through, but very relieved you are on the mend. I can't even begin to imagine how hard the last few days have been for you. Do you think you'll be there for a bit, or will they be allowing you to go home soon?
Love and kisses to you,
Sorry for all of your problems. You really have had a terrible time. I can relate to the infection and all the antibiotics, and how they can make you feel. And the diarrhea from the antibiotics are not pleasant either. Hope you can get your blood counts back up and get to feeling better. Do they think you have an ulcer with all your stomach pains? I hope you don't have anything else. Take care of yourself and keep us up to date with your progress. We all care about you and want you to do well. I hope you got your port in so they can use it for all your lab and antibiotics. In peace and caring. HUGS to you.
We were all worried about you. So glad to hear from you, but sorry for the troubles you have been experiences. Sounds like they have got you headed down the recovery road though. Hopefully you will be feeling better soon and your body will be healed enough to resume your treatments. Take care and keep us posted.
Hugs and prayers,
Sorry to hear about your problems. Hope everything they are doing to you is helpful and that you will soon be able to get back "on track" again.
You poor thing; you've been through a lot lately. Get better, sweetie. We wrap you in our love and prayers.
Reddie....it was such a relief to hear from you. I am so sorry that you have so many obstacles thrown at you, but so glad that you are getting better.... A very strong lady, you are!! Am praying that things go more smoothly for you. Keep us posted!
Isn't it great that so many people are looking out for you!!! Hang in there, rest, and recuperate. I hope chemo #2 goes smoother for you.
Stay strong Reddie...like it sounds you are! Prayers and hugs down tis glorious road to recovery!
I really appreciate for all of you looking out for me and wondering about me. I'm really touched! At that time I was really struggling with my health issue especially with the first chemo reaction. The doctor realized that one of the chemo drug did give me bad side effect to my stomach infection. He said that he will remove one of the three drugs if I plan to have second chemo treatment. I'm not sure if I will have second one or not but it's up to the team of doctors.
I can't imagine how much I've been going thru for almost a month and half to recover from the side effect that I've had. I'm glad that I'm recovery much better with the antibotics and the drainage from abscess. It makes a lot difference than last week that I felt so weak and I couldn't do much of anything. I'm looking forward to next week to see what the good outcomes are. Thanks for praying for me and rooting me for a good spirit!
Love ya, Reddie
Reddie I am glad you are feeling some better. It can take a lot to recover from the effects of the medications. Continue to rest as needed and take care of yourself. You remain in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck with your decision about whether to have the second chemo treatment or not. Hope your abscess clears up soon. In peace and caring. HUGS to you.
Oh Reddie you've been through so much! I hope you have some people that you can depend on until the infection clears. Don't be afraid to ask for help. It sounds like your team is really working on getting it straight. I am sorry it had to be so difficult for you. Thank God for antibiotics! Offering you prayers and never forget we are all in the hands of God. I know on some days with this treatment we don't feel that way. Be good to Reddie now!
Hey Reddie, I sure hope this all clears up for you soon and you get healthier fast and it's good to see you back on here.
Hugs from Oregon

I say we all meet at Reddie's wedding and help her celebrate. Put us in a table in the back; you know we will be the rowdy group! Glad you're feeling better!
You made me laugh about setting up the celebration at the back with the rowdy group. It makes me feel better that you're still there supporting me even thou I'm not always on discussion board. This summer has be hectic but all of you guys still makes my day. :)
Let you guys know that I will be going back to work tomorrow as a teacher for 5th and 6th graders so hopefully I don't get too tired! LOL...
The doctors told me that I will not have any more chemotherapy and maybe no radiation. They said that they rather for me to recover from stomach infection which I'm still taking IV antibiotics (one month)at home. I'm still feeling so much better which I am able to do alot of things. PTL and hugs to all! Reddie
I hope you are ready to go back to teaching. I hope your kids are healthy, so you don't catch anything from them. On antibiotics for a month, Wow. I hope that takes care of your stomach infection. I know I had loose stools and frequent stools when I was on the antibiotics for two weeks. Hope you have a bathroom close to your classroom. Wishing you the best as you continue to recover. Thanks for keeping us updated. In peace and caring. HUGS to you.
Glad to hear you are feeling better. Good luck going back to work. I hope you don't get to tired. You must be excited about being finished with chemo. Every day you will get stronger. May God bless you as you heal.
Love and Hugs!
Reddie I hope the first week went well for you and you did not get too tired. At least this week you had Labor Day off. Wishing you well with everything. You remain in my prayers. Hope the infection is clearing up.
My first day of school with students wasn't that bad. The kids are pretty much mature than I thought. I guess they are ready to be 5th graders and we've taught them rules pretty good so they can't make any excuses. LOL...I've plenty of support with my team. I have two other team (5th/6th grade teachers) that we work together on the first week then next week we will do the rotation for different subjects. I will be teaching ELA (English Language Art)
