MRI and Mammo Are Ordered, but my Surgeon does NOT think it's a recurrance!!!!!

My surgeon, a wonderful woman who did my original surgery and who is not "just" a surgeon but a BC specialist, does NOT suspect cancer!! She ordered an MRI and a mammogram, which I think will be done next week ( I need pre-authorization) and, as my Dr says, they will be "tests for exclusion", that is, to rule cancer OUT, rather than confirm a cancer diagnosis! She realizes there is "somthing" wrong~ be it scar tissue, nerve-endings firing, injury to the site from perhaps moving furniture or heavy lifting ( both of which I did) or who knows what. But in her experience, and from the complete exam she did, including lymphnode manipulation and a painful but thorough manual breast exam, she felt NOTHING suspicious!!!! So,although I do not feel 100% out of the woods, believe me, 85% feels Great!

There are truly no word to thank all of you for the outpouring of love, support and prayers all of my Kindred Spirits here gave me. Those words actually haven't been invented yet! I wore the beautiful pink earrings RE made for me, and I felt so close to all of you; you really were with me! The feeling was amazing! I knew that, "even if" the news was not good, I was stronger because I wasn't alone...you were part of my day.

So, instead of going out to dinner, as my appointment was over pretty quickly, actually~ I wanted to go to Jazzercise! So, that's what I did, and Reggie and I are going to have a nice, celebratory dinner here at home, and toast each other with a glass ( or 2!) of wine.

Whew......

Hugs and love and thanks again...you are fabulous!!!

OK - we'll gladly take that 85%, for now. Because it's very soon to be turned into 100% exclusionary!!!

Aww, Kindred Spirit... THANKS for posting so quickly! :-)

Phew, sooo relieved. You, too? Reggie, too? (Just kidding!)

    Kind regards, 12/25

Wonderful news, dear Claudia!! Thank you for letting us know asap. I am relieved that your surgeon is so thorough and will take all measures to confirm nothing to fear. The woods are getting farther behind you all the time.

Hoping you and your warrior Reggie (because HE, too is a warrior, for you and with you) have a peaceful and lovely evening, and restful sleep.

At the risk of saying "I was right"...
I was right. But I know all too well the anxiety that comes with every test and every doctor's visit. You handled the ordeal like a champ, Claudia, and I am positive that Reggie did too. This reluctant teetotaler hopes the wine goes down very, very well for the two of you tonight!

    Love,

I am so glad that it is nothing
Claudia, I just got home from a l-o-o-ong day "down below" involving orthodontist, Costco (large quantities of lots of stuff), and back-to-school shopping with daughter, Annie - and just read your post. I am so happy for your 85% good news and will keep the good vibes going until you top 100%. xoxoxo Lynn
