Hi......Here is a side to me that only some of you know about. I have a son, he lives with his Dad in England (his choice) He comes to Canada to visit me, or I go to england at least once every year, I phone him every second night and I miss him like hell. He is 15.

I Booked his flight Monday.........He's coming over JUNE 14th! - August 15th.....I just can't wait. We are very close, and he adores Chuck, who took him golfing and taught him to play the guitar and the piano.

I am so excited!

I'll have to get all that stuff in that he is addicted to, but can't get in UK....Wieners, root beer, michelinas chicken nuggets and chips, Beef jerkey..and poached guppies!

Please don't judge me.....

    What's to judge?
You have a son? He doesn't live with you? So? For every family there is a story. I have four kids and one of my daughters lived with her father for a while for various reasons. Enjoy your son and regale us with your stories!

    Oh, dear Tasha..................
Why on earth would anyone judge you!! We all love you!

I am however, very excited for you that your son is coming to visit! How wonderful for both of you!

You just enjoy that boy! And rest assured that we all know that he has an awesome Mama, who loves him!

    POACHED GUPPIES?
Say it ain't so, Tash! At least spare poor Aortus the Caboose! We rented an apartment by a fountain specifically so he could have a place to stay in St. Louis!

You have a great time with your son and never feel bad about the choices made in your life. We would never judge or even want to. Tell him all your cyber friends say HI and that we all love you.

I am so happy fo you!
That will be so fun to have Jamie home with you. I remember his name because I have a daughter named Jamie. There is nothing at all to be judged for hun. Sometimes things in life just aren't "leave it to beaver" by a long shot. Just like how our cancers are all different so are our lives and situations in them. I know quite alot about people judging and looking down their hypocritical noses. (None of our sweet sisters here) but being from a small town and having a Gay (lesbian) daughter. Yes my Jamie is fun-loving, beautiful, smart, sweet, and Gay. I choose to ignore any derogatory remarks and just love her. So I'm saying to you just love your Jamie, as he loves you, and have the best time ever!!! I'm sure you will..just try not to have a guppy swallowing contest or anything!lmao!

    Enjoy your summer

J, you daf sod, we won't judge you. We all wish that you have a great time this summer with your son! I'm sure that he knows how much you love and miss him; calling him every second night proves that. And, that's the important thing.

    You are awsome
You really are just so great! Aortus....I'll keep 'Aortus, la caboose' off the menu.....

Thank you all for all the nice things you said and meant. It really means so much to me......I'm so grateful to have so many real people as friends. Rjj..I know what you mean....Some of my best friends in england were gay also and I loved them, they were nearly all men however. I don't think any of that stuff should make any difference anyway.....All Mother-in-laws are a nightmare whatever sex you are./When my mother-in-law came to stay, the Mice would throw themselves on the traps! LOL

See website......Les Dawson Mother-in-law jokes.....He was just the best!

    Live and let live
Your Jamie is a lucky young woman to have a mom who is crazy about her just the way she is. Many of the lesbians and gay guys I have come to know over the years would give their left leg to have a parent who loves them unconditionally, just like you love your Jamie. One of our dear friends here grew up lesbian in a small Missouri town, with creepy parents, and hated every minute of it. She has a good life now, and a loving partner, but the scars are still there. Good for you and good for Jamie!

    What did I say?
I have a cousin named Jamie, who is a happily married husband and father; and my nephew is married to Jamie, who is a happy wife and mother. Sometimes when I'm out walking the beasts I run into a lady named Jo who is out walking her bulldog, Brutus. While the pups are busy yapping and sniffing each others' butts, Jo and I take turns asking each other "Where you going with that gun in your hand?"

jk has obviously joined the Official Daft Sod Boardwide Fan Club. So far, 3 members: you, jk, and me.

I just love typing it... daft sod... daft sod... daft sod... As I anxiously await some unwitting dim bulb to provide me with the perfect opportunity to actually say it aloud - which, sadly, I haven't yet done.

    Say what????
No one would judge you...except for those of us in here who have always had Perfect Lives, and have never, ever done anything to fess up about, and can't for the life of us understand how anyone has ever had to make decisions about children, or husbands, or life-mates, or jobs or cancer treatment, or anything! The rest of us here who don't happen to fall into the Perfect category are wondering what there is for you to fess up about.....

The thing that actually struck me more than anything else you wrote was mentioning Root Beer! My brother is a classical musician who lives mostly in Paris, but travels the world playing music. He loves it when his travels bring him to the US~ he can drink Root Beer to his hearts content, as it doesn't exist in France, either!

Enjoy the visit~ you have had some many GOOD THINGS happen to you lately; your son is the icing on your cake!

    Hugs,
