Hi all, figured I could show off my tattoo this way. Love dragonflies, wanted to incorporate the pink ribbon, and my friend and I came up with this design. Tell me what you think!
Love to all of you(regardless of your opinion, my mom HATES it)!

    Hi!
I love it! I, personally, only have the 4 little tattoos that they put on me for the radiation treatments, but, I like yours! Very, very nice! Did it hurt?? OUCH

    I think it's just lovely.
I think it's just lovely. Very feminine. Sounds like a contradication, a feminine tattoo but it is. And I love the way you incorporated the pink ribbon. Maybe Mom is just not a tattoo person. I give it two thumbs up.

    Hurt? Nah, not really
I have four tattoos outside of the 3 little ones for radiation, the one that hurt the most is on my wrist. This one was pretty easy, I loved the concept, so even if it did hurt, it would have been worth it.
    thanks!

    thanks Stef
You actually gave me the idea of how to show it off, the only complaint I have is that it's on my back, and I need to have someone take a picture for me to be able to see it. But I love it anyway, and yes, my mom hates all my tattoos, no matter how much she might like the subject matter. I won't even show her my last one, not yet, it's my dad's name (and mine), and it would probably get to her on a number of levels.
    I like your fairy too!

    Beautiful ...
I love it! Whoever designed it ... you or someone else ... did a beautiful job! And you can't tell me it didn't hurt. When I had my tiny little eraser-sized happy face tattooed (between the belly button and the stretch marks!) ... I thought I was going to jump out of the chair. I was over 50 years old at the time and the tattoo artist was laughing so hard it's a wonder the thing even resembles a smiley face. When I got ready to pay him he said that he just couldn't charge me the regular rate becuase the thing was so small ... so he said ... "how about just the cost of the ink? Is $10 OK?" ... I still can't believe I did it ... but I just had to do something I said I'd never do ... and I wasn't going sky diving or swimming with the sharks ... so I got a tattoo.

    hugs.

believe me my Dad would hate it more!
Aortus, thanks and so sorry about the loss of your mom, I lost my Dad a little over two years ago, and belive me, he would hate it more. But I miss him enough to want to have him around to be able to hate them. My mom always defended the fact that I could get a tat if I wanted, but didn't like it, my Dad just plain hates them. He only saw my first, I waited til after I lost him for the others.

Teena - it is a designer tat
    Teena,
You sound like my sister who screamed throughout her tattoo on her foot! Made me laugh the whole time, but made the tattooist very nervous, kept telling her to drink more! haha!
My tattoo artist (who is also my niece's boyfriend) and I did the design, I saw one fairly similar, but wanted my own, so I did a pencil sketch of the concept and he filled it in. He is a great artist and an even better tattooist. His lines, shading and depth make it look like it is ready to fly off my back. But I'm with you on the NO to skydiving etc, so, tattoos and piercings are my thing!

I love your tattoo. It is beautiful. I have five myself. Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the tattoo palor. Unfortunatly I didn't get one this time, both my daughters did. Also my fiancee got one. On his right forarm he got the pink cancer ribbon with my name on it. I plan on getting a cancer ribbon with word soviver on it as soon as I am finished with treatments.
I Just love yours. Take Care, Nancy

Hi Cat~ my kids are into tattoos-they are 18-27. I only have the 2 from my radiation treatment. Boy, did i get a laugh from them when I called to say "I've been tattoo'd"--they were like "what? does dad know?" Yours are creatively thought out, and inspiring to look at. I know my kids tats are well thought out, and of importance to them. Me, I'm too chicken to face the needle.

    scared of needles...
Melanie, after all you have gone through, I'm sure you've had a few pokes from needles!
Does that make most OK with it or afraid? I still hate needles, but now have to show them where to stick to find a good vein, it was always a problem throughout. But a tattoo is different for me anyway.
    thanks for the callout

    Tattoo!
I am so NOT a tattoo kinda gal, but yours reminds me a lot of the one my niece got in my honour. As you love dragonflies, I love hummingbirds, so she got one on her wrist with the hummingbird "holding" the pink ribbon.

I just laugh at the thought of getting a tattoo...probably because the rose my sister got above her breast 25 years ago is looking less like a rose and more like Potpourri the older she( and it) gets! LOL

Enjoy your pink festooned dragonfly! Well done~ nice design!

    Hugs,
    Claudia

    hummingbirds
there you go again Claudia, I also love hummers, they are in the front yard with the feeders, the dragonflies are in the backyard pond. I have what looks like hundreds of hummers on video on utube because I wanted to share their amazing feats of flying!
Too bad about the tattoos, I could get you a good deal! haha!

I don't want to swim with sharks or skydive either~ but this fall I did zip-line and swim with dolphins...it was incredible!!!!!! And that's about as close as I ever plan on getting to the 2 aformentioned adventures!

It sounds as if you had quite the time getting your Happy Face! You are a better woman than I~ those baby radiation tats were enough for me. No, not the pain, and I have no fear of needles, tattoos just don't call my name! LOL

    Hugs,
    Claudia
