2bhealed...i agree with you 100 %...cause I stoped all fats, sugar and I'm eating fruits till i vomit.....but...why are we receiving chemo instead of a "fruit" IV ? Because there is no money there !!!???Where are the 900 million dollar study (like the money that they used in the was like Terryl said)on fruits and sugar ?? Why are cigarrettes and alcohol legal ??? BECAUSE OF MONEY ....Like someone else said....if the food is killing us...lets stop producing it....why dont they stop it ?? Because of MONEY.....Do we have to take care of ourselves? YES !!! Did i know that all this junk food that I eat 20 years ago was going to give me cancer ? No....Are we even 100 % sure is the food ?NO....thats my point....we dont even know 100 % what causes it... Well anyways...that doesnt mean that I wont stay positive....My point is like someone else said...after chemo we are on our own....meanwhile, my Dr. told me that I should not over use my Insurance because we don't want to "run out of it "( just because i want a CT every 3 months ) He wants it now twice a year....(finished chemo almost a year ago..does this sounds ok ? )
Anyways...this was just a ( long ) thought....we will keep on fighting it one way or the other...but It doesnt sound bad going to washington an put more pressure not to only have an early prevention, but to erase this beast from the face of the earth for ever, like they have done before with other diseases...
Lets keep on juicing, eating veggies and fruits,.and praying !!!!!
God bless you all

We have to take responsibility over our life style which includes food we eat, water we drink, stress, whether we use alcohol and cigarettes, etc. We should not put this responsibility on the government.

Why alcohol, cigarettes, etc. legal? Because there is free choice in the society and we are responsible for what we do and not those who make those products.

Yes I must agree with you eleonora. Alcohol and tobacco have been around for a long time. It is a personal choice whether you use them or not, just as it is wheter you choose to eat fruits and veggies. i personally would not lie to live in a nanny state that dictated everything for me.

Yes, we must take responsibility for our own lifestyle. We have choices.

As for our medical care - it is the best in the world, and yes, unfortunately money does make the world go 'round. It has for ever and ever and will continue. Our physicians are the best trained and our pharmaceuticals do a lot of research to find newer drugs all the time. We've come a long way and unfortunately it does not come free. I thank each day that we do not have socialized medicine here in the US.
