I am excited tonight. I go in for the last of 35 rad treatments tomarrow. And while it has been no walk in the park,It aint as bad as what I was told to expect. We all react differently to treatments, My biggest problem was learning when to stop trying to eat certain foods that would wreck my mouth and throat with every attempt to "try one more time". I go for the last treatment early afternoon. As soon as I feel well enough I am headed to the Delaware shore for some R&R. THanx to everyone for their help. Greg

    All right Greg!
Very happy to hear you are finishing treatment Greg, and as glad to hear that treatment has been "relatively" easy on you. Keep it going and have fun in Delaware.

I was where you are just seven weeks ago today. Enjoy the satisfaction of finally crossing the finish line. It gets better!

    Bethany Beach
Greg...awesome news...take your time through recovery. Everything you didn't let yourself feel during treatment may come up.
I am currently at Bethany Beach in DE...rained all day today. Thursday and Friday are supposed to be good. See you on the beach.

    Congrats
Be sure and play with some Horseshoe Crabs. Good gosh, those things are ugly. But down here, we would make a roux and find some way to eat em.

    That is good news
I hope you feel better soon and get a chance for that R&R in my native state, brother. We locals tend to get fed up with the annual summer invasion of tourists, but you're welcome any old time.
    Congratulations!

    Mask?
Did you take it home with you, Greg? A lot of us did, and some have had plans for it. Just wondered about that, and to say Congratulations. Might not seem like it quite yet, but take yourself a deep breath, look around, and then give yourself the thought- I'm finally outta the tunnel of treatment, and it is still so very good to be alive.

    Whew !
Good news Greg. Just watch for a possible 'dip' in your recovery which is common around this time. It can a bit of a slow ride out to get the eating and other stuff back into a 'normal state' but hoping you make it through quickly. Focus on good nutrition and rebuilding your immune system. Keep us briefed.

I wanna tnk everyone for all the good encouragement. I had to laugh at the picture of the kid eyeing up the two bowls of jello. Yeah my trailer down at Bethany beach and my boat have been sittin empty almost the whole summer. But, I can't complain ,life is good. Both docs say it's looking good and I will come back for a new PET in 3-4 weeks. Yeah, Hondo this finish line went smooth today. I feel like now I get a chance to catch my breath! I hope you all have a great weekend....... Greg

LOL, Greg, are you speaking of my photo...LOL, if so, thanks for the compliments. I must be looking really good since treatment or your eyes are getting tired.

That's a photo of me at Parksdale Farms in Plant City. They have the best Strawberry Shortcake ever....this was last year after treatment and I had regained some taste.

But, I do like the compliments....

    Best,
    John
