UPDATE on ITTAPP
Pleaural fluid, posterior right chest thoracentesis:
-malignant cells presnt consistent with metastatic adenocarcinoma.
Comment:
-These findings most likely represent a metastasis from the patient's known primary colonic adenocarcinoma.
They decided after all of that to do a Pleurodesis sugery, this is where they place a long tube in the area this is to treat the buildup of fluid around the lung. Then they put this stuff called talc, this will keep the fluid from coming back

Oh Patti, I'm so sorry this has happened. I have heard about the talc thing but I just can't remember where and who had it done. If I find it I will let you know.
Do they know yet if he spheres have had any effect on the liver? I know it is soon after treatment but thought maybe they knew something.
Getting back on chemo sucks but if it helps get things under control again then I guess that is what you have to do.
Take care. I think of you often.

I was so glad to see you post. But, so sorry about what you're having to go through now, are you in the hospital now? Is your pain being mananged well? I hope they put you on a pain pump or something, that always helped me. The Pain and Palliative crew at the hospital I go to was awesome.
You been in my thoughts for a long time now, and for some reason I can't comment on your own FB, unless you comment me first..weird! I really hope you start feeling well real soon, and we are all here for you, waiting on a healthy recovery!
Hugsss!

I think this is our biggest enemy, Patti - RECURRENCE.
This is what makes the battle so hard to fight on a daily basis. At least they have found and confirmed this. I just hate this for you - breaks my heart to read this.
You've come too far for too long now - so I know you'll stay after it and do what you need to do. I know I sound like a hypocrite right now not fighting my own battle so well.
I'm sorry I'm late to your post but I echo what everyone has already posted - we love you and want only the best.
I know pleura pain pretty well - that's where my tumors were and where the new one is again. I did not have to have fluid drained mercifully. But I've heard the talc is a good solution to stop fluid buildup in the future. And they can also cauterize that area and seal it up as well, if the talc does not work for you.
Keeping you close in my heart and my thoughts are with you.
