Just returned from a meeting/extended weekend in the 'city by the bay'. MAN! Was it beautiful!!!!
This time, we didn't have a car, and used public transportation (BART and MUNI). It was perfect. The only tense moment was when 2 guys attempted to lift my beau's wallet!!! Shame on us, we needed a reminder that this is a big, crazy city!!!
We took a tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito, and the Golden Gate Bridge was out in all of it's glory! And on another day, we passed the famous corner of Haight and Ashbury...still there are signs of the 'with it' generation...lol!
Colonpalooza will be great there!!! LOTS to see, and with this MUNI pass (we got a 7-day), all busses, trams, and the cable car were unlimited rides!
Hugs, Kathi

Hi Kathi,
Glad you liked San Fran. I'm going there over Easter weekend. Try to get there once a year. My brother lives in Santa Rosa (about 1 hour north in Wine country).
Unfortunatly, we won't make colonpalooza since I'm going in two weeks. Darn. Course, things can always change.
Yes, everyone will have a great time in the city.
