Hoping for 'Canceritis'
So, then went to my primary care, still having trouble with my 'special' breast...red, warm, tender...
He gave me a script of Keflex (HATE that...makes my stomach touchy), and said the OTHER words...."Can't rule out IBC if the meds don't work"...sigh...
GO AWAY, beast, GO AWAY....I just want to lay down and rest for a while in the soft, warm sunlight....
I will keep you posted...
Hugs, Kathi

I will pray for good results.

We'll take your mind off that when you get here to DC,darlin!
I'm assuming when you say IBC you mean inflamatory breast cancer and not a popular brand of root beer? Hang tough, darlin' and try not to let it scare you. Remembers the step of the cure is the diagnosis.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Thanks, dad. I am sort of getting frightened. I REALLY don't want anything else...unless it IS the root beer! Or maybe REAL beer!spongebob said:We'll take your mind off that when you get here to DC,darlin!

BTW, thanks for the ride offer....I think we will be ok...I will be paid for by the ACS. We come in on Saturday at about 6pm...
Looking VERY forward to meeting you!
Your rather small, frightened daughter.

Thank you, Lee! Prayers are the reason I am still here!pink05 said:Hi Kathi,
Well, we are both waiting for results in a couple days. Every week at my church, they pray for people who are awaiting test results, and I am still praying for you.

Thank you, my dear...but I am lactose intolerant...BUT just had some success with taking Lactaid...so, thanks for the tip....also reduces the possibility of yeast infections...unknown said:This comment has been removed by the Moderator
(The MRI was pretty easy....I had headphones tuned to my fav radio station...kept my eyes closed...actually, the tube is taller than the 'donut' used for a CT or PET scan...I peeked!)

I KNOW I would fight again, but I would rather not have to....sigh....but, if I have learned nothing else from this journey....it is NOT up to me to decide.....

Kathi,

I wish you well.
If you can't eat yogurt, you can get good bacteria ('k - that sounds gross)over the counter in a decent drugstore. My husband had back surgery last spring that resulted in a staph infection and meant he had to be on IV antibiotics for 8 weeks. I bought something called "culturelle" (or something close) for him and it really helped his digestive tract.
Meanwhile I wish you the best results from MRI and just know the antibiotic will work.
Take care,
