back on the horse
I'm having a hard time getting psyched up to go back. I was sooo determined when I first started my treatment, 20 rounds of chemo/radiation with diarrhea and sickness has taken a toll. I'm really "afraid" to start again - my brain tells me that "there is an end to this", but right now I'm sinking fast into a "pity fest".....I need a swift kick in the rear and a good shake to get me back on track.
Now that I've got this off my chest. I feel better, yes I can, yes I can, I will do it, I will do it :-)

MAJOR GOOD VIBES, Joyce! I had to 'return' to chemo, too at one stage, so I know what you are saying...BUT you MUST...maybe this is not the treatment of the future...I like to thing it will be kinder and gentler..but it kicks behind right now, as opposed to stopping...
my fav saying...Winston Churchill..."When you are going thru Hell, don't stop" (sorry, CSN guy, but it's a direct quote).
I have started my 'Spring cleaning' this morning...prep for first post-crc colonoscopy tomorrow...so I send all good vibes...I'll have all of the symptoms you mentioned today by nightfall.....sigh...

Oh Joyce,
I definately know how you feel. I get one week off on my chemo after each treatment. By the time I have to start the next one I dread it because I'm almost back to normal. I just take a deep breath and think of the time when this all will be behind me. Good vibes your way. Keep saying your mantra. Take care.

Kathi took my favorite quote (don't worry, Kathi, Jose won't bust you - I've used that one here before myself).
I would just say this; according to John Wayne
"Courage is being scared to death but getting up that horse anyway"

This is one of my favorite speeches of Winston Churchill.
My enemy is Colonrectal cancer!!
"Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.0 -

What a great quote. Great advice to yourself - and advice I really needed to hear since I am going through a bit of difficulty psychologically now with respect to dealing with my Stage IV disease.
Take care and fight this beast!
