hello ronhuang. I am sorry to hear that your mother has cancer of the colon. I had surgery for this myself 18 months ago and am doing well so far.I understand you are in China. I live in Ireland. We do not have Xeloda here yet but it is being used in the United States. If you go to listmaster@healthtalk.com and then click into "cancertalk" you will find a discussion on Xeloda (capecitabine). It is being used by the doctors there and you will find their discussions helpful. I do not know if Xeloda is available but they will be able to give you advice. Good luck.

Hello again Ronhuang. A doctor must prescribe Xeloda. I hope that you understand that it is a very powerful drug which must be given in precise doses. It can only be given under strict medical supervision by a doctor who specialises in cancer treatments. I wish your mother every blessing.0

I took Xeloda after surgery for 10 months. I was allergic to the 5fu which i took prior to surgery. So now i am finished with the chemo but am left with no stats.Xeloda is not used typically after the surgery. I am from New England.I wish you the best of luck.vcavanagh said:hello ronhuang.
