I was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 3 yrs ago.I had it taken out . The the PSA went up so I was sent over for IMRT treatment (radiation) . It didn,t make a difference. So the URO said hormon shots were next. Who has taken those what were the side effects. Iam pretty well used to no erections (without help)I have about given up on ever having a orgasm. SO your testostrone is reduced or eliminated.
Will you still able to excersize on a normal basis and carry out normal everyday funstion. I understand there are different hormon treatments maby someone can elighten me

Welcome to the Party, sorry to say! Your life sound like mine, except I'm 4years into this monster. Mostly you will receive the drug called Lupron and the doctor either give 3 or 4 month shot. which the side effect don't kick in for about a month. It's best to start exercising and changing your diet. A cut back on red meat/dairy products will help! Each person in here are different, so ask away!
Medications that stop your body from producing testosterone. Medications known as luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LH-RH) agonists prevent the testicles from receiving messages to make testosterone. Drugs typically used in this type of hormone therapy include leuprolide (Lupron, Eligard), goserelin (Zoladex), triptorelin (Trelstar) and histrelin (Vantas).0
