The hardest thing I have ever had to deal with
My mother is everything to me. I know this is cliche but my mom is my WORLD. About 2 weeks ago, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her bones, lungs, and brain. This is obviously a very late stage. My mother is a doctor herself and she's had breast cysts on and off for a while throughout her.…

Any suggestions would be appreciated :-)
After I had my mastectomy I started having problems sleeping. I would fall asleep and then about an hour later I would wake up and then had a hard time falling back to sleep. My Dr. prescribed me Ambien. I was still waking up at night so my Dr gave me some lunesta samples. Taking that wasn't any different than Ambien so I…

My new wig
I wore my wig to work yesterday for the first time. Could there be any nicer people on this earth than my boss and co-workers? They loved it! They told me I am beautiful! The supervisor told me I should forget my own hair and stay with the wig when this is over. I should have thrown the stapler at him ;-) I felt like a…

I lost my friend this afternoon
to uterine cancer - the nasty kind, UPSC, Stage III something at dx less than a year ago. UPSC is always considered grade 3 and treated very aggressively because it's very aggressive, but nothing stopped its progression, even for a little while. Nothing. The stupid cancer just laughed at everything they threw at it and…

How long after surgery before starting radiation?
I'm wondering how long you waited after surgery before starting radiation? I have 3 more weekly Taxols to go, and, if those don't get delayed, then have surgery (lumpectomy) scheduled for the last Thursday in June. Have any of you started radiation as early as 3 weeks and 3 days after surgery? I'm trying to figure out if I…
