But the HER2- is a very good thing Do you think the nurse was right about the Chemo?

Surprise News
I went to my Radiation Oncologist on Monday for my first 6 month follow up, and asked her exactly what did the scores on the Oncotype DX test show for me? I have asked other doctors and always seemed to get a runaround type of answer. She told me my score at 34 meant I had a reoccurrance rate of 51%. That's why they…

Anyone had a spouse diagnosed with temporal lobe dementia
I'm just about a year post completion of all treatment except the daily arimidex. I've noticed my husband turning more and more negative and unpleasant, but he was losing his memory too and I thought that would be enough to make anyone negative. He just got dx with frontal lobe dementia; turns out it's alzheimers evil…

Just because these thoughts are shallow doesn't make them any less true...and some of them are funny
SHALLOW THOUGHTS FOR TODAY...... * Nothing ticks you off more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong. * I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. * There is a great need for a sarcasm font. * I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than…

Last day of RADS
Today was my last day of Rads! I'm really glad they're over but feeling very sad and depressed. I have been crying since I came home and I don't know why? It can't be because rads are over because I hated the treatments. I told my doc I would rather have had more chemo treatments. I felt like a baked potato in a microwave…

As of yesterday I had to stop the Aromasin because my hands swelled so bad I couldn't bend my fingers or even get my rings off. The pain deep in my bones left me with no quality of life. I have tried the Arimidex which was even worse, at least this time I stayed on the Aromasin for 5 months, but called my doctor to tell…

Now that I am waiting to get times for CT scan and MRI on my arm. As it turns out I did find a lump less than one cm and the other thing growing they don't know what it is and biopsy isn't for them, she doesn't think they will even get the tumor that did show up on the ultra sound. Funny how 14 years ago I missed allot of…

How Many Are on Arimidex - More Seem to be on Femara
It seems that more women are on Femara than Arimidex. I am starting to feel very lonely. I don't think there are any more than 6 on Arimidex, unless you are not posting. Naturally I am interested in Arimidex because I started it on Thursday, March 18, 2010. Since I am 69 years old, luckily have only a few aches and pains,…

Weight Watchers - Weigh In 3/29/10
All I could think about last night while attending the Weight Watcher meeting is how am I going to tell you that I gained 2 oz. Last night’s weigh-in yield a 2 oz. gain. If I try to be a little more normal – like other people – but still stay on the diet, it doesn’t work for me. I thought crab was a fish. After eating it,…

Jake told me the other day that I need a hair cut like I had last Easter---I was bald. He wants to use his washable markers again to draw Easter Eggs on my head again. I told him that once was enough for me and that since God gave me my hair back I didn't want to shave it off again. He accepted it. Margo
