High calorie foods to replace Jevity

Options

We are so close.  In March we completed 40 rads and 3 Cisplatin.  We started this journey with emergency trach and feeding tube.  PET is scheduled for 6/8 at which time we will be able to remove the trach and feeding tube (well, tube once he can eat food orally and maintain weight).  We started with 8 Jevity/day and are now down to 4 and on a soft diet.  The swallow therapist gave me shakes and soups, but we need to go past that to regular foods.  I can only give him mashed potatoes and pasta so often.  I am trying to find healthy high calorie foods to continue to eliminate the Jevity.  II am trying hard to eliminate as much sugar as possible as I believe it feeds the cancer.  I've tried to find on web but I can't seem to find a site that addresses all the issues. Anyone have site that I can  go to for this info.  Thanks in advance for any help.

    BLEND IT

I've been on a smoothie diet forever.  I was a PEG tuber for 11 years, and I am now, joyfully, drinking via my 2011 reconstructed esophagus.  I have a Vitamix, the gold standard for blenders, for blending at home, and a NutriBullet Rx for blending in restaurants.  You might want to consider getting a Nutribullet Rx (I believe their most powerful model), say at Bed Bath & Beyond, where they are reasonably priced, and readily accessible.  With the Nutribullet you can blend into a smoothie, within three minutes (heating in the process), anything that you are serving for any given meal.  That way you can serve up some tasty, nutritious, calorie packed, home cooked victuals, which will, no doubt, be a welcome, smilable upgrade to the Jevity (which I am more than familiar with). Bon 'A Petit.
