removing healthy breast to get a better reconstruction result

I had a consult with my plastic surgeon today who said he could not make a reconstructed breast match my natural breast. He explained that in order to get good symmatry it would be better if I had both breasts removed so he could reconstruct them both with implants. I am 61 years old. I am overweight. I have been diagnosed with stage0 DCIS in my left breast involving only lots of microcalcifications. He said he could not do the other reconstruction using my own fat and muscle because my belly was too big, he couldn't pull the needed tissue up through it. I am so confused. My sister had stage2 breast cancer and had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. I'm stage0 and in order to look normal again I have to have a double mastectomy? I'm confused. But I'll do it rather than have radically different sized breasts. Opinions please, what do you think?
