Heart palpitations

in Kidney Cancer #1

I just started on 800 mg of votrient 3 days ago, and about 1-2 hours after taking it, I have heart palpitations that go away after a couple more hours.  I am contacting my doctor about this, but I was wondering if any one else has experienced this.  I hope it doesn't mean that I can't take it.

    Slow, weak pulse

    Hello Ftgtiger,

    My husband just started taking votrient 4 days ago, everytime he takes this med his pulse gets very weak and slow. We are going to wait until this friday to consult with the doctor. Have you contacted your doctor? If yes, are you still on votrient? Thanks

    I wouldn't wait.

    I just started Votrient a few days ago. I've not had any heart issues, but if I did, I would call the Dr's office immediately. The only heart-related side effect that I see listed is hypertension.

    Just after my op

    I purchased a blood pressure monitor on my Doctors advise. I take my BP daily and present the doc with a graph of the results. He said it was very useful. It was also pretty reassuring for me.

    Called the emergency and spoke with dr on call..

    So i called the emmergency and spoke with dr on call, he sujested to keep monitoring my husband and if we feel like we should come in to the er feel free to do so, and that as long as no headaches, dizziness involved it shouldnt be an issue. What should i do?? Id rather wait for our appointment on friday rather than just rushing to the Er.
