    I haven't had a chance to read this information yet, but I thank you for posting.  We have a new member in this group who is currently dealing with serious issues related to Pelvic Radiation Disease and I hope she sees this post.  Thanks!

    I have been reading through this information and am finding it to be very interesting and quite informative, even though I am not a nurse, doctor or other healthcare provider.  One thing that stands out as I quickly read through it was the frequent statement about not doing biopsy if the patient has received pelvic radiation.  It even appears in bold print, so I think it is quite an important bit of advice.  My radiation oncologist and colorectal surgeon are both against doing biopsies in radiated tissue, unless absolutely necessary and the need is backed up by testing prior to the biopsy. 

    I am going to post a link to this site on one of the other online support groups I'm in, as I think it contains some very excellent information.  Thank you so much for posting!

    Thank you so much for this information. It is another reason this site is so beneficial, as much of the knowledge we gain here would be otherwise not known. I have only been skimming it but will take time this week to read through.

    Laser surgery

    So, I am having cervix laser surgery in a couple weeks. I had it in 97, no big deal. i hope post radiotion it will also be no big deal. They want to knock me out because they have a hard time with seeing cervix due to radation effect shrinking my insides. HPV stinks.

    i'm glad to see that this constellation of problems following pelvic radiation is recognized in the UK as a real disorder. So far, I haven't it seen mentioned as such on websites originating in the USA.
