Need some advice on the drug Xeloda and the side effects.  My DIL has recurred with brest cancer, stage 2, to stage 4 with mets to the liver and lesions on her bones.  I'm from the uterinr board so know next to nothing about breast cancer.  Any info will be greatly appreciated!  On a lighter note, my mother is a 29 year surviver of stage 2 breast cancer!  She will be 90 in November!  Never lose the dream!  Thanks, Debrajo

    You're welcome here!

Debrajo, please don't apologize, you're welcome anytime over here in our crazy little corner of CSN!

I know we do have a few ladies here who've done Xeloda, so thought I would bump this up.

You might want to re-post with "Xeloda" in the title, just so they see your post.  We've had SO much trouble with spammers recently, your post title might make them think you're just another spammer (which you're most definitely NOT!)

Thanks Traci and Disneyfan!  Forgot about the spammers...duh!  LOL!  I will repost in a bit using xeloda in the topic!  It's for my DIL...she had stage 2 invasive and was five+ years clear until this March.  Mets to the liver and bones.  Still new territory for both of us.....and she'd just had her port taken out!  Trying to find out if I can help her.  She is in the pi$$ed off mood now, but I would like to educate myself!  Thanks again, I'll be on tonight!  Debra

    Well, howdy

You know I visit here having had bc in 2010, but I do not have expeience with Xeloda (thank goodness).  There are plenty of folks who have had the drug, tho, and hopefully will answer your questions.

Hey Cathy and Doublewhammy!  Remembered about you Suzanne, so sorry about your friend Cathy...it is a beast!  I learned to talk to the experts ,real people with real first hand knowledge instead of trying to research the web-mess, so I came here!  I don't know all the details, she has been my DIL for only four years{a second marriage for both} and she and my son have spent a lot of that time in Saudia Arabia.  We talk a good bit, but no one wants to talk about cancer when you are well!  I have my daughted of the heart who has stage four[ ?] cervical pre-cancer, also.  Something else I am not familar with!  Thank you for the prayers...I sure need them!  But I'm breathing and hurting so all is good! LOL!  You take care of yourself and no more "Downers"!  Debra
