    I see where she had become depressed  upon discovering that some of the people in an old thread she had revived had died.   Jocelyn, if you are reading this please let us know how your treatment went yesterday, I know you were anxious about it and some side effects your were experiencing. I've discovered that there are many folks here who have been around a long time and are living  productive lives and are more than happy to contribute helpful info.   I had my first 5 hour  chemo session yesterday: it began with  an infusion of anti-nausea drugs, followed by Avastin, Oxaliplatin, and Fusilev in the treatment center and  I'm now wearing an infusion pump at home for 46 hours of 5-FU, which will be unhooked tomorrow.  I feel  like Wonder Man with his  jet pack round his waist :-) So far so good- the anticipation was actually worse than the actual treatment and so far, no major side effects, other than  tiredness. I hope yours went as well. I do think that  being anxious or worried beforehand contirbutes in some way  to how the treatments can adversely  affect our bodies. I hope the folks  on here with more experience can help allay  many of your fears and ease your worries.

    Echoing Your Thoughts

    Not sure if I posted this before to you or someone else, but for me the anticipation and anxiety has far outweighed the reality of both the surgery and chemo to a great extent.  Hooked up on my pump now for Round #6 of 12 (just got hooked up yesterday) and going to Rangers game tonight and hopefully a baseball game this weekend.  There is some down days, where a bit tired and do not have as much get up and go, but I am in the groove of having a bunch of good days and the "bad" days being I just relax (with some guilt :)) and nap or watch TV or listen to music.  So far a good strong 7 days out of 14 day cycle, 3 days with pump so I am more curtailed and a bit self conscious and 4 days of going in and out of "chill lax" time.  

    Without a doubt getting things to do helps.  I have been shooting photos more and find the impetus to shoot gives me more get up and go.  Though Session 6 sort of got me into "Argh this is a grind a bit" (maybe because this was 17 day cycle so a bit of "vacation") when I stepped out and knew I was shooting later that day, I was ready to go.
