I woke up again this morning...A CANCER SURVIVOR!  My life is absolutely and completely in My Lord's hands; good or bad.  However,  I am absolutely and completely in control over how I choose to deal with it.

I was going to die.  Then I didn't, and I haven't.  I am using and treating every day that I have as a gift; a chance to help others see the amazing works of The Lord!  !!GLORY TO GOD!!

All I can say is Amen like you in 2006 I was giving 6 months to a year at best, none of my doctors can understand how or why I am still living. I try to tell them God can do anything He wants to do, and when He is ready I will go to sleep and await His soon coming.

    God is awsum

My name is Joy and I too was given 5-6 months to live .These to me are just numbers that

Don't have much meaning to me. God is the only one that knows when our time on earth is up.

This God of the Bible is a miracle working God....and I too told mydoctor that because they

Could only take me so far I had to call upon God for supernatural help ! Nothing is impossible for God.

In Luke 18:27 it tells us God can do what man cannot ! It is up to us to tell others what God has done

And give God the glory for it.

    God is truly awesome

Joy, it is so great to see that you and others are relying on their faith and God and holding fast to what the scriptures say!  Also in Luke 18, but in verse 30 it says that God's kingdom will bring everlasting life.  And like you said, God can do what man cannot.  And soon he will restore the earth and all of his creation to the perfect way he first created it.  We will never have to worry about how long we have to live, because God promises us everlasting life- a perfect life!  Keep trusting in God and his promises.

I love reading the posts of

I love reading the posts of other believers! The doctor that diagbosed me with stage 4 ovarian cancer, seemed to think I was going to die almost immediately. That was 8 months ago today. I figured that if the doctor had written me off, only a miracle from God was going to save me! Plus, only God does know when each of us will die. Instead of getting surgery, chemotherapy or radiation, I have chosen to trust my healing to the Lord! Along with trusting Him to heal my cancer, I have trusted Him to dissolve my blood clots and help with the built up fluid in my stomach. He did dissolve the blood clots without blood thiners! I got a PluerX catheter to drain the fluid at home. This has been another blessing! I have been telling everyone I can about the amazing things He has done! There are not enough great things to say about Jesus or the sacrifice He made for us!

    God is my strength

Without God in my life I would be alone. He lone gave me the strength to survive, to remain happy and, strong

when I was waiting for surgery I could not eat solid food because, I could not open my mouth.

I was not worried because "He" was with me!

    God Bless you all

    Open your Mouth

I still have the problem with not being able to open my mouth more than a ¼ inch and not being able to swallow like normal people. But all in all I am still thankful to be alive even if I have to live it one day at a time with my Lord and savior by my side.

I felt the need to become more involved with my church and to study scripture back in December. It was like a gentle calling from God. I got more involved with sciptural study groups and volunteering. In January I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I know that He was preparing a spiritual foundation of support. I drew closer to God than I have ever been. I am still facing radiation and another surgery but I know that I can find peace even through the tough times. I love being involved in Bible studies. I have learned that all scripture is God-breathed.
