ahollie, we are a family and

ahollie, we are a family and that's what family does!  i'm also thankful for this site.  it is like a safe haven.  we can come here no matter how we feel and know that someone will be here for us.  i'm happy this site helps you and hubby and i pray it will continue to help you and all the other (and new) members.  i hope he loses the tube soon!  that is a big deal.  let us know when he does so we can celebrate with him.  i'll be looking for that post.

    God bless you,

    dj

    Glad he's better

Very glad to hear he is donig better. The recovery is slow and on it's own time frame but it does happen. Take each day at a time, today is the day that matters, not yesterday. You both will get there and when you get to hear the words NED, you'll know it was worth it. That goes for you even more. It is so hard on the caregiver, you share his pain and sometimes have even more pain because of the unknown. The loved ones and caregivers are often over looked at times but the survivers could not do it without you. You have to be strong for him and you were, he knows it too.

    Great photo

What a great photo of you and your husband!  It shows the importance and love of the caregiver to the patient.  I would not be alive without my own caregiver, my wife Terry.  Your photo captured that feeling for me.  thanks.
