He's so close to the end of rads....

They go down a person's throat when inserting the tube, so yes....the insertion could be part of why he feels increased pain.  Tube goes down the throat, then they pull it out through the hole in the stomach.

Hi Thanks for ur reply. That feeding tube they have inserted through the nose to the stomach. Will they make a hole to pull it out? I think they will pull it out through nose only.

    Thanks

    Oh...so he has a nasal

feeding tube....I thought we were talking about a PEG feeding tube.

If they ran that from his nose, down his throat into his stomach, I could imagine that being this close to the end of rads, they ran it over some pretty tender tissue.....and that may be why he may have increased pain.  At this stage of the game (only 3 rads left)....each day could increase the pain, also.

    Nasal tube sucks

Can’t understand why at his late stage they would put a tube down his throat, poor guy he must been going through hell with that. Are then giving him any type of pain meds or Magic Mouthwash to help.

    I had a nasal tube

after my surgery and it made my throat very sore.  It tended to rub around my throat area when I moved around a lot.  I'm sorry he is so uncomfortable and having to deal with this.

    Hi All,

    Thanks for your

    Hi All,

Thanks for your informatic responses,Actually radiation doctor was telling to put the tube after 3rd week. But as the Chemo doctor told if he is managing without tube just carry on.Thats why we made late decision to insert the feeding tube. And the other reason for late insertion of feeding tube is  we were very much scared about tube.

He is having lots of pain in his throat and that to with reinsertion of the tube today(As the tube came out unknowingly during bathe). The good thing about my father is that throughout the radiation his weight was almost same(around 47KG) though he is under weight according to his height.

Praying to god that Radiation might have done its work.

    Thanks
