    I am so sorry

What sad news.  I am a pet lover and when we lose one, it's the same as losing a family member.  Cancer sucks, both in humans and our faithful pets.  I am very sorry.

    Meg

    Thank you all.

She was such an adorable companion. She was good until the last few days, although she had the diagnosis of transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder3 months ago. So, we and she have been lucky I guess. Just leaves us very sad when they go

Thank you for your kind thoughts. Sephie I am so sorry you have pain too. That it wad so quick must be a blessing & a shock for you too. For Meg it was so unbelievably sudden. She wasn't expected to go for a while yet, but I was taking her to the vet last night to be checked over as she had lost her appetite. However, during the day she seemed to be exhausted (luckily hubby was home & was able to let me know). I took a half day off & came home and cwtched (Welsh for cuddled) her. My daughter and her boyfriend came home after work & Meg gave Laura such a lovely welcome. Then when it was time to leave the house she was so excited to go out. So much so Laura didn't have a chance to say 'bye' just in case. As we reached the car and opened the door (she was still wagging her tail), she was just about to jump in and she fell back.....& died. It must have been a cardiac arrest. We are really still so shocked. So was the vet....

    Thank you again

So sorry for your loss, Liz.

So sorry for your loss, Liz. So sorry for all who have recently or not so recently lost their beloved pets. Animals bring such joy to our lives, and much sadness when they leave us.

    Pet Loss

So sorry you lost your beloved Meg.  My sweet kittie, Meisha, will be 16 in late July but I don't think she will make it.  She has stage 3 renal failure, maybe stage 4 now.  I take her to the vet for fluids twice a week.  She won't let me give them to her.  She loses weight every time we go even though she eats like a little horse.  I don't think she's in pain or she wouldn't be eating.  Today she slipped under 6 lbs to 5lbs 15 oz.  It tears my heart out to see her becoming a skeleton but she is a little trooper.  She's also become partially blind.  The whole thing stinks and I know my heart will break when its time for her to go to the Rainbow Bridge.  For all of you who have lost a furbaby, please google the Rainbow Bridge.  It is a magnificent poem...
