Nose bleeding (spotting)

Options

I've done two chemotherapy and 20/33 radiation treatments.  I've noticed lately that after radiation treatment, my body, mouth, and throat feel hot.  I can feel each time my heart beats.  When I rinse my nasal with a nedipot then blow my nose, blood comes out but not continous bleeding.  Along with that is a big snot with what looks like to be old blood or some brown material in the center.

Is this normal at this stage of treatment?  The location of my tumor is right behind my left nose just below the eye socket.

Anyone have similar experience?

    My nose started to do

the same thing...get little blood clots from about week 3 on.....and it continued even through the adjuvent chemo after rads were long done.  The nose is lined in mucous membranes, so what happens to your mouth, throat, lips....also happens in it.  What you're experiencing is perfectly normal.

    Abi-Normal...

    Here you come....

Yep very abi-normal, I had similar for awhile especially at about where you are....

Just consider, your nasal passages and throat, are pretty much like hamburger right now, and for another month or so....

You'll get through, and more than likely it won't get much worse than where you are currently, but it will get better...

    Best,

    John

    Yes

I had clots when I blew my nose. If memory serves me right, mine was mid to late tx and was short lived, seems like it only lasted a few days.

    Nosebleeds

are part of my new normal.  I'm a "mouth open, snoring" kind of sleeper, so I wake up with the thick junk in my throat and a nosebleed almost every day.  The docs have checked me all out and it just is what it is.  I'm getting used to it, but it was a scary thing at first.  I think rads to the head and neck just kind of "fries" everything.

    Nose bleeds

I never had nose bleeds during or right after treatments but now, four years out and my nose bleeds in certain conditions. I was recently at Ceasers in Atlantic City for four days and the air in there made my nose bleed a few times. The new abi-normal.
